Considering Temuera Morrison is 53, and Boba would only be in his mid-30's by the time of his death in Return of the Jedi, that makes me wonder when this spin-off will be set.

He may have ageing issues being a clone and all...

Tem Morrison will be playing the Fett again, eh? So much for Disney ignoring the prequels....

They made sure to point out Boba's an unaltered clone though, but who knows I guess. Should it take place sometime before or during the OT, it could be possible they'll try to de-age Morrison digitally and/or through makeup, or hell, just make him keep the helmet on at all times.

Or it'll be an older Boba closer in time to the new trilogy, maybe a bit scarred depending on what being inside the Sarlacc does to you. Perhaps they'll use the spin-off to show/explain him escaping the Sarlacc and what comes after, setting up his return to the main saga in Episode VIII.

Something I'm personally very happy about, if it's true. I'm glad they'll seemingly be trying to keep continuity with all six movies instead of retconning stuff and messing it all up even more.

LucasFilm already announced that the Prequels and Clone Wars TV show were "canon", but for the immediate future, the focus is on the OT and the new trilogy and spin-offs. LucasFilm has never said they will "ignore" the Prequels....just the EU.

Why are these entertaining? Why does someone get notoriety for pasting music from one trailer onto another movie? Just don't get why it's so cool/funny.

Well they're keeping in line with two of the movies anyway regarding Boba Fett. Four depending on which versions you watch.

I know that, Ernest. I was just poking fun at all the tools who keep saying that Disney are gonna ignore the prequels/CW.

I wouldn't mind at all if Max Von Sydow is playing Darth Plagueis, and we definitively learn the origins of the Skywalker family. To this day I run into people who don't realize Anakin was created by the Sith...Lucas only hinted at it when he could have at least partially redeemed all the backlash about the midichlorians by revealing Anakin's midi count was off the chart because he's a Sith creation....you know, "Oh, THAT'S why they continually brought this up in The Phantom Menace..."

Good point about Boba, he was indeed an unaltered clone, a perfect copy of Jango. He'll age like a regular guy, so: he's 10 in Ep II, Ep III is 3 years later and Ep IV 19 years after that, so he's 32 at the start of the OT. Add on 20-odd years to lead up to the new trilogy (I dunno what the new timeline is, I'm just guessing) and he'd be in his mid fifties, and how old's Morrison? 54.

LOVE the idea of him breaking out of the Sarlacc. Any fanboy worth their salt knows that the ex-EU had him escape the Sarlacc (helped by Dengar IIRC) and go on the hunt for Han Solo. And doesn't Lucas say in the commentary for Jedi that he wishes he'd never killed him off and that he could've done a scene showing him escaping?

He may have got his wish, not least because a Boba Fett prequel doesn't make much sense, for we already know who he is and where he's come from - but Fett resuming hostilities against Solo and the Skywalkers would make a cracking sideline in the new films.

Well, I can understand why people haven't put two and two together, because Lucas doesn't give us a definitive answer. We get Palps mentioning that Plagueis could create life, he shoots Anakin a look when he says it, and that's that. Anakin flat-out ignores this bombshell, so why should the audience pay it any heed? I agree with you BTW, but I can see why it's gone over people's heads.

If it is explicitly said that Anakin is a creation of the Sith and not just the Force - although some would argue that the Force allowed it to happen because it knew that this creation would bring balance - then that would make for an intriguing throughline in the new movies. If Luke is in hiding, as the rumours suggest, could it be because he's found out about his Sith heritage and that he's afraid he'll go medieval on everyone like his old man?

I really like it this way, and I think that those who are actually into SW can figure this out quite easily. It's quite subtle, yet right there.
I love the face that It's 3 generations in the final fight: Grandfather, father and son. It's pretty messed up, if you think about it. Lol

You did pretty well on the math there, but a friendly correction, Episode VII is set 30 years after Return of the Jedi, so he'd be in his mid-60's. Morrison at 53 is still much closer to the age of 66 (his approx. age in VII) than 32-36 (IV-VI) though.

I'm open to the idea of him escaping the Sarlacc too, I've even grown to like it. I used to be against it, like when Lucas mentioned he considered inserting such a scene into the DVD edition of RotJ. But that was all because, at the time, RotJ was the finale of the saga, the climatic, happy ending. And having a villain survive like that wouldn't make sense, it'd have left us thinking "wait, what, so if he's alive, does that mean he'll hunt down the heroes after this point?".

We'll see where they go with this, I think it's a possibility though. The character is a big fan favorite, and it's one of those rare cases where bringing back a "dead" character could actually make sense, what with the Sarlacc being mentioned to keep its victims alive for a very long time, digesting them extremely slowly.

Great news - his Jango was the only character out of the prequels who didn't seem to be obviously acting - he was naturally a bad-ass and the best scenes out of the prequels were with him - even more so than Dartb Maul.

Jango was incredibly one dimensional and some of his lines are downright cringeworthy. Hayden's acting had a lot of subtlety that most people don't give credit for. The scene in the beginning of AOTC where he's talking to Obi-Wan about his dream of his mother dying to which Obi Wan replies "Dreams pass in time." The look in Hayden's eyes when he nods portrays everything that he's feeling. He realizes that Obi-Wan can not only not understand what he's going through but this is also the moment he decides to never confide in Obi-Wan again, leading to his distrust in his master in ROTS. You can feel the sense of loneliness Anakin is tormented with. Hayden wasn't wooden at all. He is one to keep his emotions bottled up but there are times when his temper gets the best of him. This is in line with Vader's behavior in the O.T where he's calm and composed most of the time except for a few moments where he can't control his anger.
Overacting is not equal to good acting.

You have to be kidding me. Well, I'm glad you enjoyed Hayden's performance more than me. I'm also glad you found some lines in all three films that weren't cringe-worthy. Picking through all the lines out of all three movies, I still have to go with Ric Olie:
