Ford may only have signed on on condition that Han finally gets killed off (well, that and the promise of another Indy movie, which he'll be free to do once Han is "retired"). He almost got his wish when the ****ing Falcon fell on him for real!

Why dont they just write it in the damn movie that Han Solo has a broken leg? I dont think the script will be compromised if he's hobbling around with a cane or cast. The dude should not be running around anyway? I dont remember Guiness' Kenobi or The Emperor moving faster than a snail anyway and they were bad-ass. If old Han Solo is looking for someone, it makes him even more determined hobbling around with a broken leg as he searches for someone.

It's also cool to start a movie like that where the stars of the movie arent in perfect health. There was a life going on before the start of the film. It's common for action heroes to end the film all bruised and beat up. There is no reason why they cant start the film all beat up, broken, or even sick with a cold.

It's better to have a wheelchaired or hobbling around Han Solo rather than changing the storyline around in a negative way which turns the film into a rushed mediocre one.

STAR WARS 7 EXCLUSIVE: ANDY SERKIS TALKS SCRIPT, JJ ABRAMS & MORE

by Edward Gross, 28 June 2014

Andy Serkis exclusively talks Star Wars: Episode VII, JJ Abrams, motional capture and more

Speaking exclusively to SciFiNow about Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, motion capture king Andy Serkis, expanded on his role in Star Wars: Episode VII, revealing how he got the role, and the role of both himself and his motion capture studio Imaginarium in the production.

“The Imaginarium is now involved in all of the performance capture on the Star Wars projects,” Serkis confirms, “and I’m playing a character in that.”

Although the loud voice of the internet has been quick to assume his role is motion-capture, that’s not necessarily a given. Serkis went on to explain how he came onto the project alongside a carefully picked roster that includes 12 Years A Slave‘s Lupita Nyong’o, Attack The Block‘s John Boyega and veteran thesp Max von Sydow amongst others.

“It’s extraordinary. I grew up with Star Wars and was a massive fan of the original films. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be engaging with this. It’s just come about so organically.

“JJ Abrams and I met, and we just had this incredible kind of vibe between us. He said, ‘You’d fit really well in this universe,’ and I said, ‘I think I probably could.’ We’re working very closely, as I say, in two ways: the Imaginarium is providing all of the performance characters, and I myself am playing a character in it.

“I’m thrilled, deeply excited,” he continued. “Sitting at that read-through the other day was just extraordinary. It was an amazing event; being with the original cast was just incredible. I just think the script is so wonderful, and both the old and the newbies in the cast are just so thrilled and excited to get together.”

Pure speculation here but if I had to guess I would imagine Han dies in the film. It would make sense for Harrison to revisit the character he wanted to die in ROTJ and in the past has openly said he didn't care much for Solo. And it also looks like JJ, from the AICN report, isn't willing to entertain revising the script to write around the injury.

Many of the rumors before shooting started was that the original characters would be featured in Episode VII and then move to supporting roles in VIII and IX as the new cast becomes the focus. Also if Han's son is involved revenge becomes a nice story line.

It's funny that none of the involved talent ever say "I was a big fan of the prequel films."

Do college kids watch Andy Serkis interviews and do a shot every time he says 'I' or 'me'?

If so, how are colleges keeping all the deaths out of the news?

But it will be a reboot. Kitty Pryde will project her consciousness into Jar-Jar, who will build a Death Star Pre-Episode 1, destroying The Emperor on his birth planet as a baby. To ensure the birth of Luke and Leia, Kitty/Jar-Jar will impregnate Padme with his(her?) own Gungan seed, introducing a new race of species into the Star Wars universe. Luke and Leia will become the first half human/half Gungan species around, therefore Han will never fall in love with Leia, and he will not end up dieing in Ep VII.

Of course knowing Abrahm's, he will have the force implode upon itself at the same time as Kitty Pryde possesses Jar-Jar, creating a black hole pulling Yoda himself into a parallel universe. Yoda will then gut Padme' and her half-breed demon Jar-Jar spawn, while they still are in the womb. He will recruit Chewie to side with him and they kidnap Anakin before Gui-Gon ever arrives on Tatooine, and raise Anakin in the deep jungles of the Kashyyk forest.

Anakin will be raised as a cunning, yodeling, wookie warrior, and all whininess and wooden responses will be ***** slapped out of him by his wookie counterparts. He will become a ruthless warrior, who will find one of Padme's look-a-like handmaidens, impregnating her on a one night stand while simultaneously swinging through the trees of the forests of Kashhyyk.

So the new storyline will be similar, but much better, as you can see. And this has all been verified by Kathleen Kennedy.

Neither do they say they dislike them in any way.

They weren't in them either.

You won't find many movie fans in general who'd say that...

That happens when you build things for real.

They should just CG animate Ford and get on with it. GL wouldn't be waiting around.

I wish him a speedy recovery though.

Harrison Ford may have a longer road to recovery than originally expected for his broken left leg, stirring up reports that Star Wars: Episode VII could see a delay because of Han Solo's importance in the Disney film.
And Abram's campaign of misinformation has begun, and taken and odd twist.

They could do a reverse Blade Runner The Final Cut and have Ford's son do the film and then digitally impose Harrison Ford's head over.

Ummm... NO!!

Original always means original. The definition doesn't change because there are newer ones.

Will Crystal Skull be considered one of the original Indy films when the next one starts being made? Heck no!

Were The Next Generation films considered original once they began the most recent incarnation of Star Trek? NO!!!

Original is original my friend, no matter how you look at it.

There will always be
The Original Trilogy: EP 4-6
The Prequel Trilogy: EP 1-3
The Sequel Trilogy: EP 7-9

Oh they exist.

I personally think Ep 1 would've been acceptable by most fanboy standards if it hadn't been for Jar-Jar. The only thing I really liked about Ep 2 was the battle on Geonosis. Everything else needed to be scrapped.

I liked the tone of Ep3 but sadly not much else. That story should've been stretched out over the entire trilogy, obviously.
