That's not what I said. I said that people who have never accomplished anything should not be criticizing these artists. It's like a friend of mine who has never written a single thing and who can't sing a single note criticizing the Beatles or Bruce Springsteen with a "they suck" comment.

Before the Internet, people could only say such things to their friends. The web has given a forum to every idiot out there (including myself) and it has given trolling legitimacy.

I think historians will look back on this phenomenon with baffled amusement the way we look upon town leaders from a few hundred years against who placed people in stockades.

Anyways, I realized that Return of the Jedi is the only movie who's opening crawl ends with a 3-dot ellipses whereas the others have 4 dots. Just an interesting trivia fact.

I swanny, if this website had awards and/or nominations for threads/posts (e.g. "Best Post", "Best Thread", "Worst Thread" etc...) I'd have to nominate this thread for most consistently inane and useless posts. And one member in particular would have to be nominated for a similar category.

The funny thing about all this is that when one sells a company, there's usually a "no disparagement" clause, at least for the first few years. Hard for me to believe that Disney didn't include one, although maybe they thought Lucas would never bash his own creations so they left it out.

If Lucas had doubts about someone else taking over his creation, then he shouldn't have sold. He did sell and IMO, he should keep quiet with any implied negativity at least for the first few films. Otherwise, he's just acting like the "fans" who criticized him so much that he decided to sell.

I couldn't disagree more. Thanks to Terminated, this thread is my one-stop shopping for all new trailers, TV spots and relevant articles. On many occasions, it's allowed me to "scoop" my longtime friends, who hadn't seen the links yet. I was honestly thinking just earlier today (when Terminated posted that latest TV spot I hadn't seen) how much I appreciate his/her contributions.

You know, I was on another website forum and they had just that. A "Best Post" thread. And at the end of every year, they had an "awards" show for other stuff similar to it. I won the title of "Most Ridiculous User" two years in a row.

The only difference is the Godfather III was supposed to be something different entirely. When the actor who played Tom (Robert Duvall) refused to return for Part III the idea of Michael vs Tom for the family was scrapped and III was rewritten with what we have now. Coppola wanted six months to work on the script. Paramount, hoping to rush out the movie before Christmas, gave him six weeks.
