Well, I'm planning to go see Star Wars at Lincoln Square IMAX sometime this month but I heard they won't be using the new laser system nor the 70mm projectors. Does it mean the screen won't fill up to a full 1.43:1 aspect ratio?

If so, that sucks.

It is 70mm film at the Science center!!! One of only 15 theatres in the world showing it in that format!!!

95% of the movie is 2.40 anyway...

Pretty sure it'll be sooner than that. Next Nov/Dec will be devoted to Rogue One.

I think May is very likely.

I know... still, it'd be great if they at least preserve the IMAX sequence at 1.43:1, especially if they don't have the 70mm projectors in Lincoln Square.

Still got Episode III, IV, V and VI to watch before VII on Thursday evening.

Planning to get Episode III over with today (didn't get much sleep last night so quite tired) then only got the OT to go. Not long to go. Just going to watch ROTJ on Thursday during the day so will only have a few hours between VI and VII.
