Regardless of the mary sue label debate the character of Rey is just way too perfect.

[Show spoiler]She's shown to be awesome at everything at the expense of existing characters. They have her fix the millennium falcon better than Han Solo. Next movie I expect she'll show Luke how to handle a lightsaber. Anakin was the chosen one born from the force and even he wasn't that perfect.

Love all the callbacks to Empire... was not disappointed with this film. Not at all.

I loved that
[Show spoiler]we finally get to see the cross bow in action. Cherie kicked major ass in this.

Watching episode 1 now. Viva la Star Wars!

IMO TFA is kinda like the song Wonderwall by Oasis. Many years passed after ANH and The Beatles changed the world. It's actually refreshing to see and hear a familiar sound that has been missed for so long. If you are going steal, steal from the best. I'm excited to be excited where these movies will go....

I agree that she upstaged Han a bit too much, however she's been scavenging ships and she's the younger generation who know technology better. Besides, it wasn't the first time Han couldn't fix the falcon, it was 3PO who "isolated the reverse power flux coupling". She's too good to stay that way. She's set up as perfect. Watch and see what happens. She will fall.

Yes! I kept thinking to myself did we ever see
[Show spoiler]Chewie use his bowcaster before? That was an awesome surprise!

I would love to watch this movie as many times as I'd like. I just can't help but think that only means having to re-watch
[Show spoiler]Han being killed.

In the originals, there were always so many promo pics of Chewie with his bowcaster, on trading cards, figures, etc..
[Show spoiler] But we rarely saw it in action. I loved how much he finally got to use it in this movie. And even the close-ups on his face, and his personality in general, we got more Chewie than the first three movies combined! A lot of this movie felt like the "further adventures of Han and Chewie" to me, kind of like those novels from way back. Which I really enjoyed, since obviously the next one will be more focused on Luke, I presume.

Max Landis LIKES TFA, he just didn't LOVE it.
...and for the record, I think he makes some really excellent points.

True, there was just
[Show spoiler]so much of it here, it was great. I loved when Han used it and liked it, that was classic.

Yeah it was heavily featured. I enjoyed it too. I liked

wanted to say i was very pleased with the movie in how it was nicely balanced between character, story and action. nothing felt excessive. which is a common hollywood trait.

I saw it with an old friend and about half way through he said, "I love that it feels like an older film." Kasdan really gave it a classy touch... I'm sure that was more him than JJ.

Default Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (USE SPOILER TAGS!)

Dude what.

The "JJ Star" trilogy really took a left turn. After Star Trek 09 and Into Darkness this new film was really different. Where is Kirk? When did the Tribbles turn into Chewbacca?

Why did they trade in their phasers for laser swords?

Hehehehehe.

Seriously though, goosebumps when the
[Show spoiler] lightsaber flew right past Kylo to Rey.
Just loved that.

It's my favorite moment. Saw it for the 4th time today and love hearing the crowd cheer each time at that scene.

Just got back from a imax viewing.

Was great, id rate it a solid 4/5. A Few things didnt quite work for me but they was tiny compared to how fun the film was.

Really cant wait for the Bluray.
