Rey isn't included in the new 'Star Wars' edition of Monopoly

You don't even have to dip your toe into the "they left the woman out" tumblry side of this.

Habro releases a Force Awakens Monopoly set that includes 1 character that isn't in the movie AT ALL, and another that
[Show spoiler]is in it for 5 seconds and doesn't have a single line.

And leave out the 1 character in who the FORCE IS ACTUALLY AWAKENING.

The literal titular character.

I'm the first person to go diversity ballistic when necessary, but this is so glaringly bad that it's just to stupid to actually be malicious or even sexist. It's just plain stupid.

To be fair, it's not a "Force Awakens" edition, hence why Luke and Vader are included as they are. In fact, the box doesn't name it as such at all. It just happens to be an updated, newer edition of their Star Wars Monopoly for them to make more $$$. I'm ALL for feminism and women's rights but this is just stupid.

However, the Target 12" doll line leaving out Ray *IS* stupid.

Saw it again today, and loved it even more the second time. Seeing it again tomorrow with some friends, and I'll probably see it a few more times before its out of theaters. I really love this movie.

What is your favorite scene in the film if you had to pick one?

Finn trying to get Rey to say if she has a boyfriend. I was practically spitting coke out of my nose.

That's a really good, and tough, question...Maybe Han and Leia reunited or
[Show spoiler]Kylo integrating Rey
. Lot of emotion in both scenes that I really love. In fact, I like just about every scene with
[Show spoiler]Rey and Kylo together
.

I just watched it; it's not bad but at times the acting was a bit off but not way off; I don't like that Disney is getting all their main actresses from Britain; her accent bothers me when all the other actors speak American English; the same happened with Cinderella Live Action (too many -tish actors/actresses); otherwise, it's not bad;
[Show spoiler] some actors die then come back later without a hitch is a bit unbelievable
; the ending is a
[Show spoiler] re-hash of the death of Dark Vader but the other way around (good dies/bad wins)

About
[Show spoiler] Harrison Ford , his acting was a bit stiff and you can clearly see that he is past his prime to act in a Star Wars movie, so his character's death was ok in my eyes because I don't think he could have given more to Star Wars than he already did

Interesting lil' technical titbits about the anamorphic lenses used on the movie here:

http://www.panavision.com/panavision...-force-awakens

Apparently JJ actually tried to track down the actual glass that was used on the original Star Wars (!) but without success (I guess the original DP Gilbert Taylor was also, ah, 'unavailable' ), so they settled for creating some new lenses which tried to emulate that kind of softer look but without the kind of peripheral softness that was so common to anamorphic optics of that era.

It didn't bother me (and I doubt Disney pushed the British thing), but I do think it's interesting Boyega lost his accent while she kept hers. I think it's such a big part of her personality that they decided to keep it. Or it could be a hint about
[Show spoiler]her relation to another Brit from the OT
....

Uh... Obi-Wan Kenobi had an accent.

Nearly all of the Imperial Leaders were speaking with said British accent.

I have seen this 3 times and it gets better every single time. I cannot wait for Blu-Ray so I can watch it again. So glad to see everyone universally uniting behind this film.

Sure we can nit pick little things but in the grand scope of things, STAR WARS IS BACK IN A MAJOR WAY!

Nice article, though I'm a tad confused about something: Are they saying the mostly filmed the movie with Primos and these "Retro" C-Series lenses? I was a little thrown off when they started mentioning the B and T-series of lenses.
