No one said Rey was Obi-Wan's daughter. The theory floating around saying Rey is his granddaughter. Like, Rey share's a LOT of Obi-Wan's likeliness in character and appearance. She's clearly Luke's daughter but can also be Obi-Wan's granddaughter. Also, how awesome would it be if the entire Star Wars arc was about the Kenobi's? They're more "noble" than the Skywalker lineage. What if they are the true family?

Obi-Wan could be her pop pop. He was on a lot of planets in his day and maybe he was only celibate from a certain point of view

For my money it would a lot more awesome for at least some of the new blood to literally have new blood.

There's an entire galaxy of possibilities. Why turn it into rural Kentucky.

Except that all the musical ques for Rey are based on Luke themes from the OT.

She's a skywalker. I'll eat my hat if she's not. Crazy internet theories are just that.
