Yeah, just shooting the breeze. Don't think I'm "crazy" or something. Spielberg said SW isn't his genre, but he already DID direct parts of a Star Wars film.

Anyway, home ill in Texas with the flu. Running a 102 degree fever. I might check in here in a few days and say, "I wrote what?" Wouldn't be the first time. Just saying, this is all a lark right now, just having fun, don't take it seriously because I'm not. Yay, DayQuil.

I'm hoping you're on to something here, but I just don't think it's in the cards.
Obviously time will tell on this item, and many more in this thread. That's why I buckled my seatbelt as soon as this news broke several months ago. I think the sky is the limit with this venture and anything can(and possibly will) happen!

Speedy recovery on your ailment! It's a very bad flu season this year!

My wife is a school librarian - she has seven year's worth of what they call "teacher's immunity". She has that immunity, but I don't, so I get all the germs and viruses. I guess I could forego kissing her when I see her after work, but where's the fun in that...

Anyway, I agree there's probably a 1% chance Spielberg would direct...I'm just daring to hope and trying to talk myself into believing it could happen. Or maybe Dayquil is trying to talk me into believing it.

I hear what you're saying! I dread everytime I take my boy to Gymboree, as I feel like I'm just entering a cesspool of germs. Thankfully he never gets sick, Dad...not so lucky most of the time!

Enjoy the down time, and start popping in some BDs!

Well Ernest, it was announced today that JP4 will be coming out next summer. Spielberg is already producing, but perhaps he's rearranging his schedule to direct that?

They're really cutting it fine with not announcing the director yet, with pre-production beginning in spring. Maybe this will be the first project ever that doesn't reveal the director until after the film is released?

And, Ernest, your delusions really don't sound that...delusional. It could make complete sense for them to wait until after the Oscar season to announce that Spielberg is at the helm.

Wish if they could get Brad Bird to reconsider, but I also can't wait to see this 1952 movie he's making.
