It's nice to see this is fitting pretty close with George Lucas' original timeline for Episode 7.
yeah but it is too bad Lucas rewrote Jedi to close things off instead of sticking to the original idea. Then this timeline makes sense. This is one of those weird flukes - like Superman telling Luthor "see you in 20" in Superman 4 and then Superman Returns coming out 20 years later.

Let it go, the Hayden Christiansen/Jar Jar Binks hatefest was so long ago and is over done and old and pointless by now.
No matter how many tines you guys try to absolve Hayden and George of their sins, it'll never fly with those of us who dropped the blinders years ago. Hayden was atrocious and that's a fact of life.

Are you sure you didn't just trade one type of blinders for another? Anyway, I have this theory that George Lucas added Vader's Noooo! to the RotJ Blu-Ray to troll people just like you.

That's cool. That's why "people like me" (re: those with good taste) repaid George in kind by grabbing a copy off a shelf in Best Buy, farting on it, and calmly placing it back on the shelf. That's my way of supporting radical changes.

A young Deniro or Pacino couldn't have pulled of the lines that Hayden was given.

It's not in the Marvel movies. There is no reason to think it will be included in front of the Star Wars films either.

It's not even that. A Star Wars film must, must open with the 20th Century Fox fanfare/logo. It was even weird when the animated film opened with the Warner Bros. fanfare.

It's...just...not...right.

Anakin would've been much better if George had let someone help him with the writing. In The Clone Wars tv show, Anakin is actually pretty cool. He's not at all whiny and he actually shows talent. I feel like in the prequels, we're told that Anakin is powerful, but he doesn't seem like he could take on anyone.

The "dying of a broken heart" is something I'll never get. He couldn't have just had her run off to Alderaan? But giving Luke up to his father's half-brother on the planet he grew up on and not bothering to change his last name just can't be fixed no matter how you write it

Not even when Anakin hated the planet and wouldn't return there?

Anakin died, and only Vader remained (when he said 'nooooooooooooooo").

He never would return there, ever.

You do know that Lucas asked for help in the writing of all three Prequels and most of the time, was turned down flat...especially Episode I.

He went to Kasdan on that one

I couldn't, possibly, care less about intros...but those looked fine to me. I have no problems with them.
Just make a great film.

Oh but wouldn't it have been fun to see. Pacino as Anakin would have been a riot.

If you are scared of those intros, did you see the potential logo that is going around? The classic Star Wars logo but replace the T with a 7 and connect it to the S

No, it's opinion, ya broken record.

Besides, George didn't write the scripts all by himself, he had collaborators.

Say something original for once.

The only thing that ever bothered me about Episode I was Jar Jar, and even he doesn't get on my nerves too much. As far as Episode II, yes it's the weakest. The romantic stuff is terrible, the dialogue isn't much better, but it also has, in my opinion, one of the best set-pieces in the entire saga, which is the Coliseum scene. Episode III is pretty much as good as the Original Trilogy, again in my opinion.

that theory makes sense to me.

Again, fans think they and they alone KNOW the movies so intimately that their wishes are what should be. But they're not making them, are they?

how else are two people supposed to genuinely fall in love with each other if sex isn't shown on screen?

I will add that at least the prequels aren't nowhere near as "horrible" as "Batman and Robin". They didn't destroy a franchise.
