Amen. I don't think Lucas and company will ever get the credit for how much work they did on the Prequels for the amount of money they shot all three films on, in comparison to what these big budget tentpole films shoot for now.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I was kinda hoping that the vehicles we would see almost 40 years (FORTY) after the first film would be a bit different.

After all, there were VERY few of the Prequel vehicles showing up in Ep 4-6, and that was only a 22 year difference.

I'm sure we'll see plenty of new ships. Those two were expected because they are the ships of Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.

I FREAKING CALLED IT!!!!!!!

I posted just a few weeks ago that I would absolutely LOVE for Gwendoline Christie to be cast in the new Star Wars!! Holy crap this is awesome news!!!

I hope she is a villain! She is so physically imposing and she could play a dark assassin or Sith Witch perfectly! Or perhaps even a bounty hunter!

Bite your tongue! You can't go by how she looks in Game of Thrones! She's a beautiful woman but very physically imposing! She's perfect for a villainous role!

Why are they posting that as new news? I am 99% sure we saw pics of a Falcon being built months ago.

I expect to see the Falcon (upgraded actually) but Luke I would expect to have progressed to something more modern.

But I suppose it could be the fuselage of a newer/more modern designed x-wing too.

Agreed, she doesn't look very pretty (IMHO) in GoT, but her other pics show that she is actually very pretty after she gets 'cleaned up.'

And who knows, maybe she's married to Luke. They don't look like they would be a mis-matched couple.

She'd better be a damn Sith! Or at least a bad ass bounty hunter! If not she'll be a complete waste of an actress in this movie! She was born to play a wicked character!

I wonder if they bothered to get the top-side canon replaced on the Falcon.

I personally hate that the Falcon is going to be in this movie. 40 years later there is no way that ship should still be in commission. Maybe it will be used as a sort of "Smithsonian" display at the new Jedi temple or something.

That would be like Charles Lindbergh's "Spirit of St. Louis" airplane still being flown today. Logically it makes no sense for a ship that old to still be functioning. It was already considered an old clunker during the OT.

I love when folks bring up "logic" in fictional films. 98% of the Star Wars mythos defies logic.

Some things are less logical than others. I guess my whole point is that having the Falcon in the film is nothing more than fan pandering, which I hate in all movies.

Not me. I'll take it all day long. I love continuity, and nostalgia in film/tv.

Hopefully there's a good reason for it to be there. Maybe Han had it fixed up like a classic hot rod or something during a mid-life crisis. I agree with you about fan pandering. Legolas being in The Hobbit comes to mind.

No way? Nonsense. You cant compare these ships to Earth vehicles. This is different technology, in a different galaxy far more advanced then our world. For all we know the expected lifespan of a Corellian ship is 100 years.

Besides, though its ridiculous, even using earth reasoning, lets say the ship is 60 years old now. I still see cars from 1950s onthe road sometimes.
