New rumors say that the villains will be

[Show spoiler]Sith Inquisitors. They will also be featured in the Star Wars Rebels series. They're like Grievous, no Force ability but have been trained in the Jedi fighting art and one of them has connection to the original characters. And of course they have their Sith boss. Empire still exists, no new republic.

Also, looks like Harrison Ford's injury is quite serious, he won't be able to resume work for 8 weeks.

unless they're robotic it won't work very well since the jedi fighting arts are controlled and manipulated by their ability to sense WHERE the next blow is coming from using the force. that's what makes a jedi so powerful is he can sense you next movie and combat it like you or I were in slow motion. It's not like it's some martial art that's unbeatable. it's their powers that MAKE the fighting style take on a life of it's own. a single force push or what not and they're toast since they have no abilities to fall back on.

True, that is why Grievous was easily beaten by Obi-Wan. But this time they're a threat because of their numbers. The Jedi will be overwhelmed.

ahhh, I was thinking it would be a small cult or something, if they're numbering in the thousands I could see them being a threat, but normal people weilding lightsabers can be diced through like they're children. look at what Anakin did to an entire jedi temple

doesn't mess up the idea either that there are always only 2 Sith too since they wouldn't have any force powers. I don't know, kind of seems like a cheat to me - now we have stormtroopers but with lightsabers. I would rather they save that until say Episode 9 and then make that part of the next trilogy(you know it is coming).

They're coming. George Lucas' original treatment actually ends at Episode XII.

Just watched Ep 3 a couple weeks ago, Anakin definitely killed at least the younglings...they were hiding in the room, and he walked in...they asked "Master Anakin, what do we do now?" and Anakin extended his light saber, obviously to kill them.

And it was mentioned elsewhere in the film he killed the younglings too.

No guys, I meant to say some. Anakin clearly killed the younglings that was important to portray his turning to the darkside. but the troopers did too. Check the scene when Bail Organa arrived at the Jedi Temple. I will fix my post.

Otherwise they wouldn't be able to

This wouldn't go against the "rule of two" for the Sith because remember, in The Clone Wars series (which is counted as canon), Asajj Ventress is a "dark assassin" who is also a force user, but she's not a Sith.

Gotcha.

Yeah, it's impossible to deny that the clones killed off a good number of Jedi, we watched them do it. Not all of them were surprised.

It's important to note that Sith are just an order of the Dark Jedi. There is nothing stating anywhere there can only be two Dark Jedi at a time, but the "sith" is more for the order.

Besides, if the Clone Wars is canonical, then Darth Maul, Sidious, and Dooku all existed at the same time. Maul may not have been the 'apprentice' in accordance with the rule of 2, but he was still technically a sith.
