Why does this film have to Episode VII? So many ways to do new Star Wars without doing a Sequel Trilogy.

It's going to be entertaining watching social media lose their shit over this 88 second teaser.

Predication: won't be better than any of the Prequel trailers. Almost impossible...especially THE PHANTOM MENACE teaser. That was a unique time and a unique teaser.

I was 14 when the teaser for TPM came out. Which means it has the full weight of nostalgia behind it. To expect this trailer to have a similar effect on me (now at 30 years old) is folly, and can only lead to disappointment.

I lose mind over anything Star Wars. I was raised on the ot and loved the prequels for all their flaws.

I cannot wait to open a new chapter of Star Wars in my life and to see new generations be carried to a galaxy far far away...

How come? The quality on that video was really bad, and most of it was blurry while simultaneously shaking up and down... hard to make an accurate judgement from this video.

The prequel trailers were absolutely perfect IMHO.

I remember watching TPM trailer about a gazillion times.

I love that long AOTC trailer!

The ROTS teaser trailer was about as good as it gets too.

So sad we can't enjoy them on BD!!!!!

I am very curious about the look and feel of the new installments.

Actually, you can tell it's fake because the music continues while the audience noise mysteriously disappears.

Na that is cutscenes from swtor and force unleashed. ( I have always said those swtor videos are some of the greatest Star Wars moments I have seen)

Ideal trailer:
Han, Luke, Leah, Chewie, R2, C3PO sitting at a booth in the Cantina bar (yes, droids would be allowed now) talking it up for the majority of trailer. Last 10 seconds shows quick shots of action.

My biggest fear is that this group wont have a calm moment all together in the film.

So much this. Both of the TPM trailers gave me chills. They still kind of do when I watch them on DVD (for I still have the DVDs to hold onto those features). They're incredible. My favorite AOTC teaser was the Forbidden Love one, though the Breathing is awesome too. The final trailer is of course awesome. ROTS had an okay trailer. I loved the movie, but the trailers weren't on the same level. For one, there weren't as many. AOTC had trailers out the ying-yang. FOUR FREAKING TEASERS ALONE! And it's my favorite of the Prequels. The incredible imagination on display. Love, love, love, that nighttime Coruscant chase.

The speeder chase, the slave in action, the raider camp massacre... Good stuff.
