This. Very this. It looked fine to me. And it's still a great fun movie to boot. I still think Stvn's idea of JarJar flying the Falcon is fantastic. That would so be cool. He would have to be very old, but I'm sure they could pull it off. Yoda reached 900 so maybe Gungans are the same. Grizzled bada** fighter pilot JarJar. That sounds so freaking awesome!

Besides, we all know being on Tatooine ages you horribly.

Unmasked & scarred Anakin was played by 70+ year old Sebastian Shaw, when he was supposed to be in his late 40s at the most.
Fair points. You're right that we may not even see Sydow's face, so I guess we could imagine he looked like whatever before he became a cyborg. And it's also true Sebastian Shaw was older in real life when playing Vader than the character's supposed to be at that point, though I can easily buy that considering the nature of his injuries.

Still though, the voice is an issue. Why would Boba suddenly speak like Max von Sydow instead of Temuera Morrison? Also the height, Sydow is significantly taller than Morrison. If they bring back Boba in any way I feel like they would, could and should get Morrison, not anyone else.

Aside from all that, the whole way the character is described and the way he looks judging by the concept art, it doesn't fit Boba IMO. He dresses more like a Sith or Jedi, it outright says he has some kind of Sith connection (but it also says he isn't force sensitive so it's confusing). Also, collecting artifacts and serving as a mentor to Kira, why would Boba do that? And then the repeated "he's a character from the prequel era", I dunno, Boba was around then but again, I don't think they'd describe him as such. It's interesting in any case, and I'm curious to find out who he is.

What if the experience in the Sarlacc pit injured him to where he couldn't?

If the acids and whatnot damaged his vocal chords or if he was injured in the 30 years of exploits after Jedi. Not only that, but as people age their voices often do too, especially if they lived a hard life. Maybe he became a smoker?

A woman in her 30s, for example, will NOT sound the same in 30 years if she smokes. Even Carrie Fisher doesn't sound quite the same.

Like I said, he could be severely injured or whatnot. Or the stomach acid from the sarlaac caused permanent damage and he COULDN'T exact revenge. And as for Kira,
[Show spoiler]if she's Han's daughter, wouldn't corrupting her or making her like him be a form of revenge? Plus, we don't know how she got there, maybe he kidnapped her?

Lots of unknowns, but its all very exciting. I love spoilers myself, all they do is get me more excited about what I know is coming!

Even if Boba survived the Sarlacc pit (armored protection accepted), how old would he be by ep7, in his 60s? Not being force sensitive, I don't think he's be much of a threat.
I dont mind any of those deaths. Im just trying to say that Fett's slapsticky death was just fine while a lot of fans are disappointed with the way he went out.

What if boba and Han's past is way deeper than we know (revealed in the spin off movie?) and he looks after Kira as more of a respectful life debt type thing to Han...

In the eu books they had this strange mutual respect and in their final duel, laid down their guns and called it a draw...

If he's part machine now I wouldn't be surprised if his voice was heavily processed like a lot of SW characters.

That would be interesting but he was killed...

And if he were alive would surely have popped up to help the fight through the saga.

If we consider the leak to be fact (which it is kinda feeling right at this stage) then all signs point to boba.

He would have been severely injured and stuck on Tattooine, about the right age, not overtly bad but had sith connections his whole life, has a string past with Han, and conveniently was also on bespin when Luke lost his hand and saber.

We also have no idea what an old Jango sounds like and honestly, minus the tan, Max could pass as an older saggy and skinny Jango. A little make up and robot face will hide most of that. I mean, its not as bad as Simon Pegg for Scotty...

Here is how I would rather see the abomination that is Jar Jar Binks.

These films are trying to erase the Lucas Wet Dream that was the Prequels. There is no need to bring a loathed character back into the fold. Why do you want these films to fail?

Sorry to burst your bubble but they aren't doing anything of the sort. It isn't a reboot. It continues on and nothing leaked or shown so far contradicts what happened in the PT.

I don't want them to fail. Even if JarJar was in it there would still be enough people lined up to see it that it would succeed. I like JarJar. And as PeterTHX said, these films are not erasing the prequels. They are canon now. And Star Wars itself is a Lucas wet dream dude. It was his brainchild in 77. His synapses concieved and carried the child to term and then… you know.

Second Star Wars Trailer to Debut in Front of Avengers: Age of Ultron

Quote:
Slashfilm have had a few Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens scoops as of late, and in their latest, they reveal when the first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated 2015 movie will reach us. As many of you may have already guessed, it will be with Avengers: Age of Ultron next May, something the site says they have been "definitively told".

It will also be attached to Tomorrowland a few weeks later, but that's also not a huge surprise considering the fact that it's another big Disney release.
Of course, there's every chance that more teasers could be heading our way too. You have to imagine that there will be something during the Super Bowl in a couple of months time, while Cinderella - despite having a very different demographic - could also be a smart place to put another teaser.
