expect some nice fight choreography

The Raid 2 has some of the most intense fights I have ever witnessed on film.

Joss Ackland can step out and say "Diplomatic Immunity" before a Jedi played by Danny Glover assassinates him ... Fantastic looking ship, I'm really excited by the new designs.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Raid Awakens! I love it!!!!

All the news I've heard, to date, coming out of camp JJ has been nothing short of amazing! I keep thinking the news can't get any better, but then it does...each time!

I feel like it's 1979 all over again, reading all the news about Empire!

They could be Sith Inquisitors, trained in the martial arts but not Force users. Their face could be in heavy makeup or worse under a mask. Or even just motion-captured for CGI characters?

Or they could be Ewoks.
They might even be Gungans.
Wookies or Mandalorians are also possibilities.
They could be Rebel combat trainers who help the new Rebel foot soldiers master hand-to-hand.
They could be extras who do Kung-fu (or whatever) in the background during random scenes throughout the movie.
It's possible that they could be X-Wing fighter pilots.
They might be stormtroopers.
They could be a triumverate of new empiral wannabe emperors.
They might be Princess Leia's man-servants.
It' also possible that they might be technicians that repair the Millennium Falcon.
They may be couriers, bringing info to the Rebels straight from the Ace Tomato Company.

This news got me so much more hyped and excited for Episode VII than I ever thought I could be. I can't wait to see what Abrams brought to this series, because I think it's about to come back in a big, exciting, and beautiful way.

Are you okay?

Obviously they're hired for their martial art skills.

You can see Gungan's standing on a building as the camera pans across and you hear one shout 'wesa free'

It's gotta be a three-way lightsaber fight between Iko and Yayan and Cecep. Holy shit. (But I wonder how the people who grumble about the PT 'saber fights looking "too choreographed, like a dance" will react when they see such things in the ST? Just a thought...)

Haha.

Could be many things, but I'm betting on "special forces" units. You don't hire them for backdrop.

Waiting for the inevitable gif adding in martial arts fighting in the back ground on tatooine where john boyega's character pops up.

Worse? I LOVE that lightsaber fight between Obi and Maul, it's my favourite one in the entire saga. But hey, I'm not a sword-fighting buff and so I don't continually pause and rewind to look for every single error in it. I just press play and y'know, watch it.

Man, I sure hope that people put as much energy into bashing the new Star Wars movies as they did the PT. It almost wouldn't be the same without it...

I really like the lightsaber fight at the end of The Phantom Menace. If I was going to criticise the prequel trilogy's take on lightsaber fighting, I would bring up this moment:

The PT doesn't have light saber fights. It has dances - over-choreographed to the point of comedy.

Totally agree. I hope the new movies can do something kind of in between the barely moving fights of the OT, and the silly Power Ranger antics of the PT.
