I am excited for the release but I really wish they had used the Zahn books to base the films on. Those were some amazing books and I am not even a EU fan at all. Just the idea of Thrawn and Jade would be pretty awesome.

I can assure you, just because your avatar doesn't have scantily clad women in it, it would NOT be considered work-friendly, due to one little word in there. Matter of fact, it belittles the meaning of the word and implies a level of insensitivity on your part, insulting those who have been or know others who have been effected by that word. As for your second statement, yeah, you're probably not wrong. Personally, I think it's all probably okay if it follows forum guidelines. It's not like this forum would be acceptable if I asked my boss about it. However if you and I met in an elevator (with that on your t-shirt), we might have words about your use of hyperbole.

Edit: Better!

Yeah we might but it would end rather quickly. And on my second statement I know Im not wrong.

I wonder how much the older cast members will be in the film or do you think this will be more of a supporting role to set up the younger cast?

Definitely supporting role, but bigger than originally conceived.

Next Force Awakens Trailer to Debut with Avengers: Age of Ultron

Quote:
The first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a great way to end 2014, but fans of the beloved franchise are already desperate to see more. Well, Latino-Review reports that we don't have too long to wait as it will debut in just a few months time with Avengers: Age of Ultron!

This was expected, and is by far the best movie to put the highly anticipated trailer with. The site also reveals that the preview will provide us with a first look at the classic heroes too, so that means we'll finally get to see the likes of Han, Luke, Leia, Chewie and the gang all in action.

However, the new teaser trailer may start being shown overseas before May 1st (Avengers: Age of Ultron is being released in countries like the UK and New Zealand in April), so it will likely be online before this!

3 1/2 months IS a long wait.

I'm more willing to bet that this is the guy with the crossguard lightsaber we see in the trailer, or some other Sith guy, not Vader.

I think your avatar is hilarious, even tho I don't think Lucas is actually that bitter!

Also, I still hope we get to see Mara, or at least a feisty red head. Would kind of be awesome to see Amy Adams in that role! Of course she'd have to be old if married to Luke. :/

They could use Julianne Moore.

Default Mark Hamill on The Force Awakens Secrecy, the New Generation and More!

While promoting his latest movie “Kingsman: The Secret Service”, the fans’ favourite actor briefly touched on the secrecy surrounding the new Star Wars movie..

“The most interesting aspect from my point of view is that [Star Wars] is now in the hands of the generation who were fans,” Hamill said. “…It’s the next generation of filmmakers who were sort of weened on these pictures.”

“You know, the security on it is just crazy,” he continued. “I’m surprised I can even admit I’m in it! …I like being surprised. It’s a whole different era now. When we made the original films, you had the odd reporter hanging around the studio bribing people to give them stories. Now, I said to them, ‘Do I really have to wear this robe and this hood that covers my entire head to go from the trailer to the soundstage?’ They said, ‘Yeah, there’s drones.’ Seriously! There’s drones flying over the studio trying to get pictures of whatever they can get pictures of.”

“We had a little of that on ‘Empire Strikes Back,” Hamill laughed. “We were up in Finse, Norway and [someone] bribed a couple of emergency helicopter pilots that were looking for a couple that were stranded while skiing to buzz-bomb our set and take pictures. They appeared in the newspaper The Sun. They didn’t get much. They had pictures of snowmobiles and they wrote ‘Strange, alien machinery on the set of ‘Star Wars 2′!’ as they called it. It was crazy! It was just snowmobiles with really identifiable logos on the side.”

Default Several New Faces from The Force Awakens Cast.

Film journalist Lizo Mzimba found several actors/actresses who are listed on the UK’s leading casting agency Spotlight as part of The Force Awakens cast.

Most likely these talents will play small roles in the movie, but nevertheless it’s always great to see a padawan, a stormtrooper and a character named Xavier in the mix.

And they are:

Jessica Henwick. (unknown at this time.)

Sam Carr. (Padawan.)

James McArdle. (Xavier.)

Tony Bailey. (StormTrooper.)

Amybeth Hargreaves. (Female Stormtrooper.)

The Force Awakens trailer won't be locked to The Avengers 2...sure they'll show it with The Avengers, but this isn't 1999 anymore. The trailer will be a digital, on-line event, just like the Jurassic World and The Force Awakens holiday release. Iger is *huge* on using new media delivery platforms to engage markets, those days of trailers being exclusive to theaters or to a single movie are long, long gone.

What, are you kidding? That's Vader's saber, his belt (with weathering appropriate to the OT version), his codpiece and even the 'hands on the belt' pose is classic Vader.
