well, I should reword it. it's not like it's "Fifty Shades of Grey" bad or anything, it's just a HUGE step down from his 2009 "Star Trek"

It was very well done, although I can't actually say it was very original or innovative. If it hadn't been for Cumberbatch, it would've been even more forgettable.

Sorry for quoting you for the umpteenth time, lol!

God, why cant they just let characters retire in their old age. Killing off iconic characters is so damn gimmicky.

Yoda had about 20 years of retirement and then died of old age.

That has been revised by Disney, Yoda actually died of broken heart.

40 million Frenchmen can't be wrong... and Transformers 4 made over a billion dollars (I think I truly wept for humanity after that one)

I still have yet to see it. I thought the first was pretty alright. I need to see the second just for Alice Eve alone. Man that woman is gorgeous.

the famed underwear scene wasn't something I screamed in horror over seeing. I certainly wouldn't kick her out for eating crackers in bed

Transformers: Age of Extinction didn't have a 87% RT review score. It had 18%. The audience score wasn't 90%, it was 53%.

It made double of what Into Darkness did. My point still stands.

like I said 40 million frenchman can't be wrong. .... probably a good 80-90% of the world doesn't deserve oxygen

and using rotten tomatoes is a joke. it only polls a small percentage of the actual public... Transformers 4 didn't make a billion dollars because everyone hated it and stayed away from it. there was enough people who liked it and made it BANK. same with "50 Shades of Grey" the INTERNET hated it, but enough mouth breathers went and payed good hard cash to give it a freaking $90 million opening weekend. Rotten tomatoes and the like are a nice curio, but in reality and those sites are a completely different phenom. point being, just because a majority likes something doesn't make it good. it just means a majority of people are morons (and I mean that literally)

Crash has a 75% review score and an 89% audience score.

Does that mean Crash can't be total crap?

If your point is simply that a lot of people disagree with him then yeah, your point stands but so what. Does that really mean anything?

People are still forgetting that the first 10 or 11 Star Trek movies generally sucked if one wasnt a fanboy? The last two Star Treks are still way better and more liked than any of those first dozen.

1 - terribad, period
2 - very good, best of the lot
3 - solid but not great
4 - still good today
5. Okay
6. Okay
7. Fun but otherwise average
Don't remember the order of the rest but here we go
Insurrection - second worst film of the lot
First Contact - Excellent movie, third best behind 2 and 4
Nemesis - fourth best but very good in its own right.

Star Wars is a 13 hour long toy commercial, small amount of hope that Abrams can make it more than that.

Once again my age must be catching up with me because I don't remember most of them sucking and I certainly don't remember almost all of them sucking.

And one might have a hard time making the case that either of JJ's Treks were 'way better' than Khan or First Contact. In fact, I'm not sure Into Darkness was all that much better than Undiscovered Country (which was a great sendoff for the original crew) or even Nemesis.

I'm talking about the general public not fanboys. Regular people don't give a rat's ass about Wrath of Khan or the Patrick Stewart/Data ones. The recent two Star Trek films appeal to all.
