It will be great if he does return. He certainly deserves at least a brief appearance in The Force Awakens.

I sure hope so. He was actually one of my favorite characters from the OT.

Hopefully. I'd really love to see him in it. Maybe a cameo in this one, and then a bigger part in Episode VIII?

I dunno, it could be fun but it sets off some 'fan service' alarm bells too.

How so? I think it'd make a lot of sense for him to come back.

He was alive in the last film, he was with the Alliance. He was the administrator of a mining colony, he helped destroy the last Death Star, he probably now the Chancellor of the new Republic.

It's hard to articulate. I liked Star Trek (2009) and I really, really liked many of the nods to the original series. But at the same time the whole thing sometimes felt more like a collection of those moments that never really gelled into a cohesive film of its own.

I want to see Han, Luke and Leia again. I want to see the Millennium Falcon and X-Wings and light sabers again. But I also want to see a Star Wars movie rather than just take a trip down memory lane.

Sure, I understand what you're getting at, and I don't want it to go overboard with the nostalgia either, but I don't think it'd be a stretch for Lando to show up at all. He joined the Rebel Alliance, he helped them take down the second Death Star, he's buddies with Han and now probably the rest of the gang as well. He'd definitely be around and probably hold a position of power in the New Republic or whatever they'd call it.

I think the rumor is that Mace Windu is his father.

Regardless of how long it's been....Midichlorians always find a way...oh and who says that Windu died when he was pushed out that window???

He could have landed on a speeding cabbie, and went into hiding...eventually he could have had a child (Finn) after all this time.

Has there been any more word about the release format of this film since they tweeted the picture of using 70mm IMAX cameras last year? I know IMAX has been trying to move everything over to digital, but when they made the announcement that Interstellar would be one of the last IMAX film releases, I don't think Star Wars had announced their IMAX film intentions. I'd absolutely love to see this in a real IMAX theater and I really hope to hear more news soon.

That's the only thing about this film so far that sets off those bells?

I think they should scrap the whole story.

Write one where the Force Ghosts find a way to possess force sensitives. That way the fans can have their favorite bad guy or good guy in the films. Nah, nevermind. That's dumb too.

Carry on
