Dead people need to stay dead. However the idea of Darth Plagius possessing Palpatine and future sith Lords is an idea I wouldn't mind seeing.

Or perhaps the Empire at least at first tried to hide the death of the emperor and old darthy to try and avoid public order problems.

Star Wars Card Trader. The app allows users to collect, trade, and display official Star Wars trading cards, replicating every card released since Episode IV's release in 1977, and adding eight new cards for characters who will appear in the upcoming Episode VII for the first time.Those new cards were first seen last December, and gave names to the characters set to be introduced in The Force Awakens.



Topps says new content related to Episode VII will be added the future, but already, as the cards feature short biographies of the character they depict, the app might become one of the first places fans will find out official information about the movie's new faces.

Some folks still think Hitler retired to a quiet life in Argentina, so I reckon it's entirely plausible that the cult of the Empire (if not the Empire itself) would persist for years after the events of Jedi, and those fanatics would always be wary of what the New Republic told them.

I'd imagine there would be Elvis-type sightings of both Vader and Palpatine, after their deaths. Spotting's would be quite easy to fabricate, especially if it give power to the old Empire, which still seems to have traction in the new movies.

Wait and see. No one else is running it but them, and it's the same rumor as last year. Don't hold you breathe, just hope for the best and maybe Disney can find a way to pull it off.

How do you know were getting them? Lucasfilm was converting the OT into 4K for the 3D conversions I'm pretty sure, before the sale.
