This movie looks awesome! I've always liked Star Wars but never been overly crazy about it. This movie just looks incredible based on the two teaser trailers so far. I think fans are really going to be getting extremely satisfied with The Force Awakens.

I'm calling it now and saying that this will be the #1 biggest box office movie of all time.

Watched the trailer a few more times. I still don't like the "matte painting" look of the downed Star Destroyer. The look of the hand that touches R2D2 is great, but borrows a little too much from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The outside scene with all the storm troopers lined up was disappointing. Looks like bad "video game" CGI again. Too neat, too perfect, flat and in-organic.

Heh. I just found that clip on youtube (prior to your post), I didn't know it was the season capper though. Do I even need to bother watching the rest of it now?

Okay, woke up 2 hours ago, refrained myself from looking online and now in the office for work. Now first thing to do at work - new Star Wars: Episode VII - THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer!

I don't think I will be able to work for the rest of the day.

PS: Thank God the internet hasn't been destroyed.

I shouldn't have to explain this to anyone considering it's 2015 and this has been proven time and time and time again but...CGI effects in trailers are almost always incomplete. I'm sure all those scenes will look much better in the final film.

I think the VFX looks superb throughout. It's funny to have two complaints in the same post saying that one shot looks too old-school and that another looks too CG. What was octagon saying about that pesky porridge temperature earlier in the thread?

What the hell are you even talking about!? Nobody here was talking about the prequels or Lucas or the UOT. I was pointing out that you for some reason felt it necessary to state that the planet wasn't Tatooine in huge bold letters, as if you were frustrated and trying to yell it for some reason.

That shot of the downed Star Destroyer reminds me of Independence Day, very similar. But still cool, just awesome overall.

And just like the first teaser, this one also confirms quite a few leaked stuffs. Hopefully the part where Luke

I have high hopes that this'll be the movie that will end up redefining Star Wars for the new generation. Who knows, this might end up being the Star Wars equivalent of Star Trek TNG.
