The movies? I love all of them. My six favorite films ever. But If I had to Rank:

3
2
6
1
4
5

If 6 didn't have the Jabba's stuff I would rank it #2 but that first 40 minutes is hard for me to dredge through.

Keep in mind I've seen the OT over a thousand times. Each movie.

And the Prequels a few hundred times each.

I love SW.

I just don't see anything in here that isn't fan service to people who quit watching star wars 20 years ago.

Although that Han Solo scene was awesome. LOVE Chewie.

That IGN article is total BS written by someone who hasn't been following the rumors at all. Beyond that, it makes no sense story-wise. Go and read a few of the summaries at makingstarwars.net, they at least have decent sources.

Yeah I don't enjoy it and the story lines in it nearly as much as the others. The environments and locals are not as interesting and I don't enjoy the bounty hunters very much at all. It's awesome in the sense I love it as part of star wars but I don't find it as entertaining or interesting as the others. I love Hoth and Lando though quite a bit.

I have to say I very much look forward to the spinoff movies. And Seeing Luke again. Can't wait.

Wow. I usually don't engage on these forums, but… wow. I guess people like what they like, but the original '77 flick and "Empire" in last place? Just… wow. I would rank them thus: 4. Period. Then, gun to my head: 5, 6. Then, bazooka to my mother's head: 2 (yeah, I'm in the minority on that). Beyond that, shoot my entire family before I admit to liking 1 or 3. To each his/her own. I respect everyone's opinion. It's a glorious world.

Wow, that ranking is definitely unique. You rank 5 last, while many (myself included) rank that first. Just re-watched it tonight. It's so rich with character moments and foreshadow and twists and emotional complexity. Here's my ranking:

5
4
6
3
1
2

As much as I love this new teaser, and every moment in it, the Han Solo scene is one of my least favorite moments. I remain cautious when it comes to anticipating Solo's return. He will not be the Solo we remember, just like Indiana Jones wasn't how we remembered him. It's everything else about this movie that excites me. There's so much possibility.

Honestly the fact the Rebellion and the Empire are still fighting after 50 years is exhausting to me. It's called Star Wars not Star WAR. I'm don't mind if they had been a new empire but to keep the conflict going just because JJ wanted to pick up where they left off it's turned me off.

That and I absolutely despise BB-88 and the new X wings, the names for most everyone revealed so far and the square dish on the Falcon. It's not coming from someone who wants to ***** about star wars. I'm genuinely disappointed big time. I guess that's how the prequel haters feel or some such. I will watch it and I'm sure as a movie it will be entertaining. JJ is very good as a director (See I don't even dislike him). I just don't see much of anything that appeals to me. I want to see something different than the prequels AND different than the original trilogy and all I see are the same.

The new stormtroopers look amazing though. Love Captain Phasma. And I didn't like the original Stormtroopers at all.

As someone else mentioned, the music plays a huge role in the trailer. Particularly so the moment "This Christmas" fades out. That entire section, almost each progressive video edit coincides with this ever higher orchestral notes scheme. Then fading up into the familiar ending fanfare as Captain Phasma walks. That whole section of music is so well conceived that it really provides an immense about of backbone to the imagery.

Agreed. Honestly 2 new hours of John Williams star wars music has me elated. I can't wait to get the soundtrack.

Really? Ranking the movies AGAIN?

Hyperbole much?

Gosh, Harrison Frod and Carrie Fisher look so old.
Mark Hammil looks the best of the trio IMHO.

Damn, 1000 times? By my math that means you've watched all three of the movies approximately once every 12 days since 1983. That's dedication

Anyway, my ranking:

5
4
:
6
:
:
:

1
3
:
2

I pretty much disregard the prequels though. Horrible movies with a few good scenes.
