I concur! This will not only crush, but destroy AoU! This feels like Star Wars. The same feeling I had as a kid. No way AoU can create that. Who you know haven't heard of Star Wars?! Can't think of anyone. Watch all the lines you'll see all over the country opening night[emoji41]

There are even certain blowhards who weren't going to see it because it wasn't made by Lucas! (Yes, really.)

But this new trailer seems to have awakened that pure love of Star Wars in the older folks, it's got non-fans & casuals interested due to the hype, and has captured the attention of the young 'uns too. I'll make my prediction now: I can see Ep VII toppling Avatar as the all-time worldwide box office king. It'd be fitting if a new Star Wars movie achieved what Lucas' original did nearly 40 years ago.
Reason being is it does not look like a CGI tardfest like the Prequels did. This looks like a Movie you want to see with special effects put in at the right places not filmed on a all greenscreen for a CGI tardfest. This is a movie by a fan for the fans.

It's all going to culminate in this film.

I would love to see it topple Avatar. Time will tell.

The numbers are certainly most impressive thus far.
If the movie is actually good then it's possible. The only thing about Avatar is that it was the right film at the right time setting off the whole Neo/Neo 3-D craze and it like Titanic captured both a male and female audience.

It's the use of the phrase "tardfest." That, and it's a drive by (incorrect) argument that isn't the true problem with the prequel trilogy. Which is the writing and the directing, something that we can't really judge Episode 7 on quite yet.

I wouldn't have bothered responding otherwise, but referring to the prequels as a "cgi tardfest" is a ignorant thing to say in regards to those films productions and just as a person.

There was a ton of set and miniatures work in the prequels.

There was more miniatures and model work, in the prequels than the original trilogy.

To those who doubt that EP 7. will clean house....

Just remember (Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation) was supposed to come out (12/25/15) and was pushed ahead to july cause they didn't want to go against EP.7!

What does that tell you.

Default The Force Awakens X-Wing Scenes Filmed in England’s Lake District!

It appears the X-Wing over water segment from both The Force Awakens teasers were filmed in England’s Lake District. Local newspapers revealed that the footage of the X Wing fighters uses a mixture of CGI and practical effects to create the effect of the ships flying over the water’s surface.

Default The Force Awakens is predicted to make $500m on its opening weekend!

The Hollywood Reporter. predicts the space epic to rake in $500m on its opening weekend.

That's more than the $483m record set by the final Harry Potter film - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 - in 2011.

'If it pleases the fans of the old movies and also appeals to kids, watch out,' box-office analyst Phil Contrino told the publication.

'Force Awakens will hit $1 billion without blinking. If it's really good, it could cross $2 billion.'

Already Disney and Lucasfilm are working overtime to drum up interest in the scifi extravaganza that's full of Stormtroopers, Jedis and lightsabers.

LoL

It will never go over 600 million domestic, not a chance. It may go over a billion world wide but it wont end up in the top 3 or 4 films of all time. I still predict The Avengers will be the winner of the year at the BO
