Exactly. I don't like Star Trek V. That doesn't make me a Trek hater. I'm a big fan of the Bond films and novels. A few of the films, I don't like. That doesn't make me a Bond or Broccoli/Wilson hater.

Everyone has their own opinions about everything when it comes to 'Star Wars' and Lucas. In the end, I may not like some of the changes, but he gave me 'Star Wars'. Period. The series that made me fall in love with film. That alone means something to me. I was lucky enough to be young enough to grow up on both trilogies, so I'm able to look past some of the weaker aspects of the prequels, BUT I understand why some of the fans may not like them, or at least parts of them. But again, I'm just happy Lucas ever gave me 'Star Wars', and I'll always be very appreciative of that. And now I'm even more appreciative to see he's letting new visionaries have the chance to take on the series and give us even more stories in the same universe. Not to mention the money he's donating to education in the buyout. Very cool.

Bring on Episodes 7-9!

Stay on topic, stay on topic.

Just think, in two and a half years we'll all be fighting over how great/awful Episode VII is.

His prequel trilogy and Special Editions may be crap, but that's amazing. Glad something good came out of them.

Holy crap! That is very impressive. I tip my hat to you, sir. Well done.

Like Luke throwing down his saber. The hardest thing in life, sometimes, is letting go.

And Breather, thanks for your posts. I just wish your common sense, experience, logic, and reasonableness didn't betray all that Lucas hate you must have to be able to write such things.

You're welcome, Ernest. Thanks for the compliment. I always enjoy all of your posts too. Always well-written and informative.

As for this hate, I just don't know how much longer I can hold it in. It's bubbling to the surface.

Let the hate flow through you. It is the only way to save your well-reasoned posts.

So I should use my aggressive feelings and let the hate flow through me?

But seriously, the coming months are going to be brutal with speculation about what the plot will be. I'm looking forward to it.

I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by VII. Disney does very well (Marvel, Narnia, etc.) and our expectations are already pretty low.

I just hope they get the right person.

Pretty sure that's how they'll handle things with LucasFilm. Disney isn't going to throw people from Lucas' organization out into the street. But they will consolidate eventually. Why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't you? Skywalker Ranch is prime studio space, but Disney doesn't need it to make Star Wars films.
Just how ignorant do you think Americans are? Of course everyone KNOWS Disney owns ABC and ESPN that is not some top secret that only the elite on here know about. Also saying Disney was hands off with ABC is a JOKE, did nobody notice all the shameless Disney World plugs suddenly thrust upon the world in every single ABC show in the mid 90s?

A new Narnia won't be coming, and if it is, it won't be from Disney as Fox have the rights now as they release the last Narnia film.
