I initially thought Count Dooku was a lame character. Hated the name. But like you guys said, he was one of the better things in the prequels.

Still, I will really miss the old man. Rest in peace sir. You are a legend.

Oh no, RIP. Sad news indeed. Dooku, Saruman, Scaramanga, Dracula... one of the last true screen legends.

I bet he's just sleeping in an underground tomb, waiting for some unwitting fool to pull out the stake.

RIP - of course. But, lets not let that get in the way of reality.

A bright spot? huh? A totally useless character in every regard. Darth Maul should have survived all three films and been used in this guys place. Dooku was just there for Anakin to behead. he was too old and we dont get to know enough about him to care.

It's not about his character, but it's his performance that was wonderful that was his point.

Just a note, I've said this before Lucas didn't want the villains in the prequels to overshadow Darth Vader in the original trilogy, the saga was supposed to be about Vader's life and his children. We may not agree but that was the story he wanted to tell.

I can't imagine anyone (much less a filmmaker) thinking a villain in a film can overshadow a villain in a completely different film.

RIP Sir Christopher Lee.

The Star Wars saga (the numbered episodes) is one big story presented in several movies. However, if the fan choose to ignore the prequels claiming the original trilogy is fine by itself, then this villain issue doesn't matter anymore to them so everybody wins.

If they go by the Star Wars novels that have been written in the last 20 years, it will heavily involve Vaders Grandchildren, 3x kids Han Solo and Leia Organa have. But they could do anything.

Buying the soundtrack (ahead of the movie) is the thing I'm anticipating the most. Almost more than the movie itself!

If there are Ewoks in The Force Awakens I hope they use actors in suits. If not they could turn out as bad as that Jabba that was added in A New Hope that looks worse than what a 5 year old can do with a box of crayons.

Of course the music by John Williams was going to be amazing. He's John Williams. The prequel scores are great too (regardless of whether or not people enjoy the prequels, Williams scores are strong).

I was thinking the same thing when reading that article. It's great they're praising the music and all, but it's John Williams, of course it's going to be good. And he's especially going to give it his all when it's Star Wars, these movies are very dear to him and it's the only franchise where he insists on scoring every sequel.

If the reports about John Williams outdoing himself are true, then this score is going to be unbelievable. I'm really hoping the cue that plays when Luke (?) touches R2 in the trailer is part of it.

He might not be a villain after all.
So is Adam Driver is with the Resistance at some point? Or his role is similar to Palpatine/Sidious in the first 3 episodes, with a secret identity? Him being
[Show spoiler]openly shown as a son of Han and Leia from the beginning, maybe show him hugging his father before separating on a mission and then in the final scene, he kills his father.
Well that's my revised theory again.
