So now we know Rey pilots the falcon by herself at some point! And that jacket Finn has was Poe's flight jacket. Very interesting!

And a good look at Leia!

Cool clip. I may have to actually see this at some point.

And wow, that Daisy Ridley is a serious looker.

That was better than just getting a new trailer. There will be new trailers later, closer to release. It was great seeing the behind the scenes material.

Got that feeling I haven't had since 2005. Looks exciting. I must say however, it's good that they're using practical effects, but the featurette made it look like they are something new to Star Wars. We must be honesst here whether you like the prequels or not they had tons of practical sets, puppets, prosthetic make-ups, etc especially Episode I. Those who say otherwise just never seen the making-of documentaries or read the books.

There was a lot more CGI in the prequels. I mean... entire scenes got filmed green-screen (or is it blue?)

Regardless, this will clearly have more practical effects than the prequels.

It almost seemed like they were backhandedly slamming the prequels. "Back to practical effects," "To give this film a real physicality," and stuff like that seemed sort of snarky.

Even though Mark Hamill wasn't shown directly from film footage, just the interview, it looks like he got in shape for the part.

This.

The aesthetic here is clearly different. If one can't see that, then I honestly don't know what to say.

I like the sheer number of practical-effect aliens they have. It looks like the classic Mos Eisley scene all over again.

I like how they built a MF cockpit in front of a blue-screen and moved it around for real, rather than shaking the set/camera or something else cheap.

I like how fast and real all the stunts look.

I like the sets and locales.

I like the costumes.

I like seeing how everybody's happy and they look like they're having fun.

I like...well, this will sum the whole thing:

I very much enjoyed that behind the scenes, almost more so than a new trailer. Well probably not, but I just don't even want a new trailer, as it will actually give out the premise. It's one of those things I want to shield myself from, but know I will not have the ability to do so.
