Because its a toy.

He was making a joke...Anakin's lightsaber was Blue. On the Special Edition of Star Wars on DVD and Blu-Ray, they botched the color and the sword is green when Luke practices on the Falcon.

Feels like they take the story posted on MakingStarWars.net and change here and there to make up this summary. And it has become even worse.

The original was botched to begin with to be fair.

Harrison Ford is
[Show spoiler]listed as returning cast in Star Wars Episode VIII. I guess he survives Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens.

But there was that rumor about Han Solo being killed by Kylo Ren in some sort of Castle environment.. so if Kylo Ren dies in EPVII and Han survives.. then great! But if they both survive then it could be possible this rumor may play out in a future episode.

I didn't want Harrison to bail out after the first movie. Star Wars isn't quite Star Wars without him. It's probably better to kill him off in EPIX.. but make him die from doing something epic, like the guy that took out the UFO in Independence Day. That would be great.

With JJ, I wouldn't believe anything. He had a fake character name listed on the imdb for Trek Into Darkness. He loves messing with fans as long as possible.

Also, its incredibly easy just to list a character on a casting sheet. If he does die and that's the 'big reveal' then it makes sense to list him on the cast sheet for the next movie just to avoid the surprise.

I'm guessing you're a Disney fan to begin with, though. I, OTOH, am not at all. So maybe it appealed to those of us who wouldn't normally like a movie like that, where it disappointed people who are drawn to animation and Disney in the first place? If that makes any sense.

I am a disney fan and I liked it, so it's not that.

I like how it subverted some tropes while reinforcing others.

Yeah, I didn't know if that made any sense.

I also thought it was funny. And, of course, I'm a huge Kristen Bell fan.

I agree, he would definitely do that for The Force Awakens. But JJ Abrams and Bad Robot have nothing to do with Episode VIII. Nina Gold is doing Episode VIII casting for Lucasfilm, Kasdan Pictures and Genre Films.

I was going to say, Abrams is still very involved. He's producing all the films through the trilogy, and possibly the spin-offs as well. Casting Benecio in Episode VIII is clearly an Abrams thing as well, as he's been wanting to use him since Into Darkness. He's working pretty closely with Rian Johnson, so he definitely has more to do with the film than one might expect.

His name and Bad Robot are not credited in the casting call, other than Kathleen Kennedy the producers are Rian Johnson's producing partner Ram Bergman, Genre Films' Simon Kinberg and Lawrence Kasdan. We haven't seen anything that confirms he's officially involved but we'll see, the names will probably be updated later. But I'm sure he's involved in the script development though for continuity, I have no doubt in that.

He wasn't mentioned in any of the spin-offs official announcements either.

Who needs JJ Abrams to be involved in the other SW films? He hasn't even proven himself with this one yet. Let other directors give it a shot without Abrams looking over their shoulders. Kasdan is the only guy they could really use for continuity on the other films.

Maybe do 4 seconds of research.
