Yoda: He is too old. Yes. Too old to begin the training.
Luke Skywalker: But I've learned so much.
Yoda: Will he finish what he begins?
Luke Skywalker: I won't fail you! I'm not afraid.
Yoda: Oh! You will be. You will be.

Just from what I have gathered from all the fan sites. Script leakes, set reports, ect. All signs point to one thing:

[Show spoiler]Luke Skywalker doesn't appear until the last scene of the film. Not only that, Rey arrives at Luke's home, hands him Anakin's lightsaber and that is it. Roll credits.

While it would end the movie on one HELL of a high note, after a while people might feel let down.

I think i would be let down, i dont mind him only appearing in the last quarter of the film but feel he needs more of a presence throughout the film than i hope they are going to do.

"Rouge One"

Christ, I don't think people will ever learn to spell that word properly.

Well, even if he only appears briefly in this one there'll obviously be a lot more of him in Episode VIII and probably IX. So, why not get it out of the way before doing any of the movies instead of putting it off, appearing in Episode VII all pudgy and then scramble to lose weight before the next installment starts shooting early next year?

If that's true and no one on here knows it is unless they were involved in the production I think its ballsy unexpected and TBH I wouldn't mind it. Even don't mind the rumors surrounding Han Solo I just want a good SW trilogy that I can take my kid to see in theaters and he would remember for the rest of his life as one of the best experiences ever.

I just hope his role isn't as small as Obi-Wan's was in the OT. I really want to see him flexing his abilities as a fully matured jedi master. We've never really seen that from him before. He didn't even become a Jedi Knight until the end of ROTJ. I also want to see him in a choreographed PT-style lightsaber duel.

Yes he would. Especially if
[Show spoiler]the next film picks up right from that scene. They aren't gonna have him fat in one scene, then skinny in the next. They also aren't going to keep him fat the entire trilogy, when it doesn't make sense. He's like Skywalker, not Hurley from lost.

The one sole reason that I think Hamill is in more of the film than some have suggested is that he tweeted a picture from his fight training. Why did Hamill lose weight, get in shape, and get hit in the face during sword/fight training if he's barely in the movie?

JJ must be loving all this.

I hope so. Do you have the pic? I've never seen it and was just looking for it and couldn't find it.

Still not as bad as an entire generation thinking "LOSE" is spelled "LOOSE"

It's way, way back in this thread...I'll try and find it, but it's going to take some time.

Got it -- Mark's tweet from his training on March 14, 2014, with black eye. It could have just been weight training to get him back into shape, and not "sword or fight" training.

Is that Maurice LaMarche with him? Looks like John Barnes in the middle. (Only UK soccer football fans will get that one.)

Bob Iger: "I've seen the film without most of its special effects and without most of its music... I can't wait for the world to see it."

Yeah right like you're gonna say "it's kinda bad" to your own product.

Doesn't mean he's not telling the truth either.
