Honestly, seeing Hamill back as Luke is the biggest reason I'm looking forward to it.

****, got a little emotional seeing that pic. This is the film I've been waiting most of my life to see.

Even as a kid I was more interested in the prospect of Episode VII than Episode I because I wanted to see what comes next for the characters I grew up with (Luke, Han, and Leia).

It's still amazing to me that this film is finally happening.

dubious, I have no idea what you are talking about. JJ said he was going to do practical effects so if you are not seeing that stuff, the obviously it is you. JJ would never lie to his fans or try and work them over in any way. I don't think there will be any cgi at all in this film (except for the motion capture characters, most if not all of the ship action shots, some backgrounds, some actual ships on the ground with stairs leading down from them like in that self-congratulatory "trailer" JJ released but that is all, practically nothing

). we really need a standard sarcasm font - would make these so much easier!

Dude, just look at the stormtrooper furtherest in the background of that picture. There's no sarcasm here. That is some serious horrid foot alignment to the surface plane.

No, no - I meant sarcasm for my comments that JJ would never lie or work over the fans and that there will be no cgi. see, confusion without a proper font!

Aren't these guys in suits? I thought he wasn't doing cg for the new stoormtroopers. Isn't that the funny thing - here he is doing them live again and we are finding issues yet Lucas did them all as cg in the prequels and no one ever had any issue with them. In the end, this isn't going to be any more practical than any other movie out there today. There will be tons of cg, JJ just wasted time and money building a droid so he could show everyone how he was returning Star Wars to it roots and to get everyone off his back while he cg's the hell out of the rest of the film.

Sorry, ever since the revisionism fiascos and the prequels, Star Wars has been a bit of touchy subject with me.

Hard to tell, since the boots are upturned with darker soles that are close to the shade of the sand.

The movie will be 4K, not that shoddy first-gen 1080p of the prequels. Everyone will notice! That's the price you pay for going to 4K and sticking to shoddy CGI techniques.

It's just as obvious as The Clone Wars arena and desert battles, if not more so.
