A lot of rumors just got blow sky high, and you people are talking about photoshopped production stills...

anything would be better than that ridiculous fight. his fight with Dooku and the Emperor were the worst fights of the movie, (except for the famed RotS fight where Obi Wan and Anakin were baton twirling)

That is a truly great shot of Mark as the older Luke; I really like both the costume and his expression. I'm wondering if the rumors are true about his being in exile, or if he's still an active member of the Rebellion / New Jedi Order.

Each and every new shots and other random bits of this movie doesn't make me anymore excited to see this. No matter what I'll look up every spoiler on this movie but I'll keep it to myself.
Only watching the Sequel Trilogy, none of the idiotic spin-off movies, to fulfill a childhood self-promise I made.
For that I have nothing else to add to this thread until the movie is released in cinemas and obviously have no care nor desire to own anything Star Wars ever again.

Carry on.

All those C-stands with digital cameras? Hmmm...what do you think they are for? Those aren't lights, those are cameras. Mark is being shot at all angles like Keanu in the Matrix Reloaded. Why do this?

Put it together.

Digital stunt double.

Why create a digital stunt double? For someone who allegedly never appears in the movie until the last minute?

Because the rumors are wrong. (GASP!)

Luke's going to be fighting someone. NO OTHER REASON to go through the expense of what you're seeing right there. Luke FIGHTING via a digital stunt double refutes an entire year's worth of rumors from certain spoiler sites.

Wait a minute, are you ignoring the three good Star Wars movies that were made after 1983?

Good deductive reasoning, boss. I'm starting to wonder if half of the rumors were purposefully trying to make it sound like the movie will suck.

I remember when The Matrix Reloaded came out and I read about how ground-breaking and special the digital capture / digital stunt double effect was. I always enjoyed and admired the scenes they used it in, but it definitely has not stood the test of time, and it hasn't been as seamless of a transition from live-action to digital the way the Watchowskis boasted.

Since it has been, like 12 years since that technology was used that extensively, I'm hoping they'll have refined it and made it look better than usual. Similar effects in the prequels always looked a little odd to me.

They did it for Ian McDiarmid on SITH...

Look at all those cameras. They aren't doing that for a sixty second sequence of Luke removing his hood. MakingSW and other sites got punked. Luke Skywalker is going to be in ACTION in this movie.

KABOOM!
