Awesome.
[Show spoiler]Looks like he still has his green lightsaber. I wonder what happened to the skin that covered his mechanical hand.

Looks like that's definitely Luke in the trailer reaching out to touch Artoo, the hand is the same as that toy. I know it's made abundantly clear by the voiceover ("my father has it, I have it...") but I think some people still doubted it...

Who else would it be? The robotic hand accompanied with the voice over was kind of a dead giveaway.

He probably took the artificial skin off after it was damaged in Return of the Jedi. I also notice it also looks similar to Anakin's in Revenge of the Sith.

So is this Luke's hand?

For some reason the pic wasn't showing for me, so I pulled it from the page source, found the URL and put it on tinypic in case whatever random server it was on disappears.

That said, what do we think this is? A Hot Toys figure? It looks way too detailed to be Hasbro's 6" line

If I was to guess, I'd say yes. It lines up with the hand seen in the trailer and on the toy, and look at the background: it's the sort of rocky scenery you might find on an Irish island, say...

As for the lack of 'skin', that's not the first time I've seen that mentioned but why does it matter? It's been 30 years, it might be a completely different hand and Luke's at the stage where he doesn't give a crap if it looks real or not.

Besides, the only reason they didn't do that on the original films is that the VFX tech simply wasn't capable of it, so Luke magically got a brand new hand that looked and moved just like his original one.

Word is that the toy was custom made though, but still I have no doubt it was Luke's mechanical arm on R2 in the teaser.

Before now we only probably have seen conscripts from the outer rim, if the First Order is made mostly of people nostalgic for the empire that went into exile and regrouped like Abrams did say, it makes sense that many may be from the core worlds even among the rank and file.

BTW, your use of the word investigativo is awkward at best, incorrect at worst.

The italian word for "detective" is either investigatore or inquirente (though this one is typical of legalese, few people other than bureaucrats and newscasters use it), investigativo is an adjective usually referring to stuff relative to an investigation or instrumental in it (mostly actions taken to further the investigation), of course there are people who still say detective in english because it sounds cool (although sometimes they use the word "as is" when it's referring to the police rank "detective" which is absent in italian law enforcement in the dubbing of american and english fiction).

He is one of the last few genuine performers who want quality of quantity. I don't blame him for Indy 4's final product, but for him to dust off his first signature role and based on that scene in the teaser he still has that charm about him tells me this is going to be one hell of a ride.
I don't know how you would know whether Ford was working for "just a paycheck" or not. He's made plenty of bad films, especially recently. That's not always the actor's fault - it's not always easy to tell from a script how bad a film is going to be and sometimes (especially these days), there might not be a finished script when the actor signs the contract.

But you're talking about a guy who made "Hollywood Homicide", "Firewall", "Crossing Over", "Extraordinary Measures", "Morning Glory", "Cowboys & Aliens", "Paranoia", "Ender's Game", "Anchorman 2", "The Expendables 3" and some would throw "The Age of Adaline" in there as well. I would respect him more if he did do those movies for just a paycheck and not if he thought those were actually good movies.

Exactly. So the classic characters will probably not do much more than have extended cameos and that is going to disappoint a lot of the old fans who were expecting more from them. And although it's absurd, the trolls on the interwebs are already bad-mouthing many of the new participants. John Boyega is "not holding the lightsaber correctly" and "doesn't look right" (I do have to wonder if some of this criticism is racist in nature) and Adam Driver seems already to be hated as well because he looks "hipster". So if one is disappointed that there's not enough of the old characters and they also don't like the new actors/characters, what is there to like?

That's not to say the new film won't do spectacularly well from a commercial standpoint. Everyone is going to want to see how it turns out, good or bad and where they take the story. There are generations of fans who will want to see it and take their kids or grandkids with them for the ride. And if Disney was really smart, they would return to a long window and announce in advance that the movie won't be available on DVD, Blu, streaming, etc. for at least a year. That would really up the theatrical grosses although it would increase their marketing costs once the film was released in that other media.

But there's absolutely no guarantee it will be a good film or a film that does anything more than show us more of the same, but accomplished well. The miracle will be is if there's something innovative and new about the film.
