When I used to work for Topps, this is what I did not enjoy - I had to work with cards that spoiled the film for me - when I was there, I had to see spoiler cards for the Star Wars prequels, Batman Begins and Lord of the Rings.

Do you think those cards only pertain to the first act? It's possible that it pertains to the whole movie!

Only because of the way the films shows it. From the perspective of Picard on Veridian III, some millions of miles away, of course it's just the star dimming. I always thought the shockwave going through the planet was cool though.

That was Star Trek though - a series that has always been built on speculative, creditable-looking sci-fi. Star Wars is more showy by nature, putting bigger emphasis on the action and spectacle. It's a fantasy series that throws all science out the window. I expect a stellar explosion to look awesome in a Star Wars film, but business as usual in Trek.

Perhaps I am being too optimistic. There is a chance that such a scene could suck in the movie (if there's even one in there). Bigger might not always be better, although after seeing the Death Star twice, this seems like the next best superweapon idea. All we can do is wait and see.

Kylo Ren and Rey Itty Bitty's plush dolls (to be released by the end of November... With a special edition version of one the characters to be released in December.)

A collection of metal Cubeez Boxes (To release in mid-September.)

A coaster set ( To be released in mid-September.)

Hallmark says that they will have other The Force Awakens stuff including ornaments, mugs, and more.

Oh boy, more ornaments to add to my collection. Captain Phasma would be pretty awesome on my Christmas tree, next to all the ship ornaments I have.

I love the looks of those coasters too. Reminds me of the Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah. I never would have believed that the entire plot of PROMETHEUS was in it's trailer but it had a grab from literally every single scene!

So there is a talking Finn that says the line
[Show spoiler]"I wish I'd never rescued you."
I wonder who he says it to?

[Show spoiler]Poe? Rey? And why does he say it?

I may be in the minority here, but seeing that Disney logo next to Star Wars just seems wrong to me...

Every single one of the force awakens cards is directly from a scene in one of the trailers that had come out...so basically they didn't spoil anything, they just named scenes you've already seen, maybe put them in order...but again, You've seen these scenes already!

Sounds about right. Don't forget that next week sees the release of the first issue of the 4-issue miniseries JOURNEY TO STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS: SHATTERED EMPIRE, which takes place directly following Return of the Jedi.

I think Disney only rendered the EU non-canon, regarding things taking place after "Return of the Jedi"...so the ones between Episodes III & IV, plus the prequel novelizations, probably still count.

None of the the original EU is canon, regardless of what period it was. It all has the legends banner.

However, I meant the books as in Tarkin, Aftermath, etc. those are all current new canon.

The only canon material is currently the six movies, The Clones Wars (2008), and now Rebels. Everything else pre-Disney acquisition is part of the non-canon EU.

https://www.yahoo.com/movies/s/lucas...0805.html?nf=1

Here's an infographic to guide you through it: http://www.slashfilm.com/new-star-wars-canon-timeline/

For fans who feel "robbed", Lucas himself has been consistent on where the EU stands in continuity.

"There are two worlds here. There’s my world, which is the movies, and there’s this other world that has been created, which I say is the parallel universe—the licensing world of the books, games and comic books. They don’t intrude on my world, which is a select period of time, [but] they do intrude in between the movies. I don’t get too involved in the parallel universe."
