There are indeed four ellipses on the title card in the actual films.

I hate end credits teasers. I always thought it was some kind of bait and switch to watch the credits.

Now it's fashion. Disappointing. Why can't they put these teasers in the end of the movie, before the credits?

I used to be opposed to the idea of post-credits scenes in Star Wars, but if they do it more as a "here's a preview for the next movie" thing rather than showing us an event that happens shortly after the end of the movie we've just seen (which is how it works most of the time), I'd be fine with that. In fact, it could be pretty cool.

I haven't bought any merchandise, I've been burned in the past when it turned out the movie/game/whatever I was looking forward to wasn't as good and the characters weren't as interesting as I hoped they would be.

If I like the movie a lot, and Phasma is cool enough, I may be tempted to get a figure or two though. Especially if Hot Toys do one.

Not everyone has ADD (or as we call it here, ADHD).

Why don't you just watch the credits? In well-run movie theaters, they don't even turn up the house lights until the credits have been completed. But there's another reason: you need some beats after the end of the film before a preview of the next film is shown. And the end score is a significant part of the film and frequently starts on the last scene or shot. If you had the teaser before the credits, it would interrupt the score.

As Zoet said, how about listening to the score and maybe appreciating the cast and crew that worked to bring this film to you?

I don't want any end credit scenes. Even a promotional clip. This is Star Wars, it's not tradition and it's not required. People will buy tickets anyway. But that's my opinion, I just hope they don't do it.

Maybe I'm alone here, but I never failed to watch the end credits for every single Star Wars episode every time. I never get tired of John Williams music, I read the names too. I keep saying to myself "Hey, Joe Johnston! Star Wars sure did launch their careers!". It's fun every time!

My sentiments exactly. Why should a Star Wars film even bother with such a gimmick? Even if the rights have been acquired by Disney.

I got mine on zavvi.com (UK) for £6.99, I'm sure they're available elsewhere too if you search for 'star wars 3d coasters'.
