Oh, not to reopen old wounds re: the rights situation but note that the poster says copyright Lucasfilm, the only mention for the Mouse House is for the distribution of the soundtrack by Walt Disney Records. Hell, even Bad Robot gets a production logo, but nada for Disney. Same type of dealio with Marvel.
Three odd things: Luke isn't on the poster; Gwendolyn Christie isn't in the credits; and is it just me, or does Leia bear a really odd resemblance to Caitlyn Jenner?
Awesome poster! Some comments, some is speculative from my side so no spoiler wraps:
A little less like a painting, not sure if this is from Drew Struzan. And glad the lens flare is there, that's tradition. JJ must be smiling.
Starkiller is on an ice planet, they cut through the planet to install the weapon! Kind of too much though, a planet's crust is usually very thin they're already in the planet's mantle but who cares. And I think that's the atmosphere, but it could also be a shield. The design reminds me of the thermal detonator Leia held on Return of the Jedi!
Rey's staff and Kylo's lightsaber aligned could mean there's a relationship between them.
Rey is placed slightly to the dark side, will Kylo be killed and Rey takes his place? Will she be the Skywalker fallen to the dark side in Episode VIII, redeemed in IX?
Finn is most likely the Luke of the new trilogy.
The cast is definitely in billing order, not screen time.
Luke is not there, no reasons to not include him even if he's only in the film for 60 seconds, or they worry about the backlash when crazy fans feel cheated about the small screen time if he's in the poster? I hope we'll be surprised that he will be in it for more than 60 seconds.
Surprised at the detailed full credits, Star Wars posters usually much less, 5 or 6 cast, music, producers, writers and director only with much space in between.
Michael Arndt being credited means that Lawrence Kasdan and JJ Abrams took his script and retooled, not restarted from scratch. This also means a story credit to George Lucas (and others) is possible on screen though I doubt it, elements taken from Arndt's script could be of his own. A "based on characters created by" is usually at the end of the credit just like the Indiana Jones series.

As expected, no Disney logo. Although Bad Robot is there, I'm sure only Lucasfilm logo will start the film using the new fanfare as in the digital collection.
Surprised no one else has brought up the fact that there's no "Episode 7" included in the title.
Good. I hated the "Episode" nonsense with the prequels. It was ok for the first one since some people weren't aware it was set before the Holy Trilogy. But did we really need it for the next two plus the original three when they were released on DVD?
