I don't know about everyone else's location but the overwhelming number of 3D showings in comparison to 2D showings is ridiculous. That basically throws away any thought of seeing it in IMAX. Guess I'll have to settle for a 2D RPX. At least my regal has sense enough to show both formats on the premium screen.

This movie looks ridiculously good. The trailer was awesome. I cannot wait to see this in the theater. It's going to be interesting to see how good the movie actually ends up being and how much it destroys at the box office.

I stick with standard 2D, since 3D hurts my eyes and IMAX is too loud.

All that's left to do now is hope that there are no idiots in the theater to ruin the showing.

TBH, don't know much about the geography in Florida, but two locations in the state are showing it in IMAX 2D film (posted this in the PLF thread, but may be useful here for the laser IMAX 3D and 15/70 2D http://www.imax.com/community/blog/s...s-on-sale-now/ )

Here in NYC, all the IMAX locations are 3D, but the digital "liemax" variety, and the non-IMAX PLF screen (a Dolby Cinema/AMC Prime) is 2D only (we also have a Regal RPX, but doubt Star Wars will play in that theater at all).

Finally was able to get tickets. Opted for Sunday to get good seats.

Methinks you guys have gotten too used to trailers and other advertising revealing everything in movies nowadays.

I will ****ing love it if the reveal of Luke truly is saved for the film itself.
