I hope Disney is actually able to save Luke for the film this time.

With Avengers: Age of Ultron earlier this year, they held off on showing any of Vision anywhere (aside from a brief glimpse of his eyes in the trailer, not unlike the Luke hand with R2).

And then, while we were days away from the movie coming out and having seen no Vision footage... Disney inexplicably put out a clip of Vision's big reveal moment in the movie.

I don't think they'll do that here, and there's really no need to show Luke at all. Anyone who is a fan of Luke Skywalker knows he's in the movie and the movie will make Scrooge McDuck levels of money regardless.

Just downloaded it. Looks gorgeous compared to the youtube version! ESPN showed an encore presentation of the trailer and I couldn't help but tear up! That version of the "Force Theme" is what gets me every time! It truly is awesome to be a Star Wars fan right now! May the Force Be With All of You!

Love the trailer but at this point I don't need to be sold any further on seeing this film haha.

Unfortunately though, looks like I will have to wait till Sunday the 20th to see the film due to my and my girlfriends work schedules. Plan to see it at the TLC Chinese theater in Hollywood on their nice IMAX 3-D screen.

Got my Cinemark tickets for 740pm Thursday in 3D. Only two showings between Thursday and Friday were sold out in my area (Digital Cinema) out of about 30 showings. Thinking I should have got Friday morning instead when all the kids are in school....or maybe their out of school by then in December.

What is the theme from the first teaser trailer during the part Luke says "My father has it, I have it, my sister has it, you too have it"?

Someone's a Skywalker kid in it. My bet's on Kylo.

Rey's a Brit, Poe's too old, and Finn's black/we know he was born into the Empire.

Physical tickets is showing PG-13. The Force Awakens will be the second Star Wars film to receive a PG-13 rating after Revenge of the Sith. All others have been PG.

It's just the first poster - there will probably be more. Return of the Jedi had a pig guard and Jabba's translator on one of the posters - and they weren't important to the film.

This trailer was just epic. The music just killed me, especially the score for Kylo's intro.

While it's hard to believe that anything will be better than the original trilogy, it's quite possible that this movie may become an actual good film - even with better emotional range and drama than in the original trilogy. The Force Awakens is filled with lead actors who can all be impressvie emotional tour de forces. We all know that Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac can spaz out with realistic anger and emotion. Hayden couldn't do it (whining and campy), Hammil did it excellently (in all the movies). Boyega and Ridley seem to be acting powerhouses in the trailer - exhibiting real emotion and conflict in each of those trailer scenes aka "good acting" aka "no there isn't a green screen around me." There is a scene in Attack of the Clones where Natalie Portman is firing a blaster as if she is totally spaced out - just one of the many embarrassing painful moments in the prequels. Now look at that trailer scene of Ridley shooting her blaster - full of emotion and conflict. Oh my god, it's quite possible that Force Awakens is going to outact the original trilogy! Its seriousness may make Force Awakens seem like the better movie which could be good but could be bad - the great thing about the original trilogy is that it's a perfect mix of seriousness and cheese. The prequels are too much cheese. So Force Awakens may be the first serious Star Wars flick with little bits of cheese. Don't forget that the new Star Treks were the first really serious non-cheesy films. As much as the action looks awesome, I'm really looking forward to the slow scenes where characters talk with each other - especially with the old cast. And I'm looking forward to quiet scenes as well such as that opening scene in the trailer where Ridley is gliding down on rope and exploring. There was way too much noise and filler clogging up the screen in the prequels so any calm quiet scenes in The Force Awakens will be exciting.

Regarding "Kylo Ren finishing what Darth started", I guess that means only Luke, Leah, Han, Lando, Chewie and the Ewoks are the only ones that really know that Darth Vader switched to the good side? It seems like they are the only ones that knew that Darth saved the world by killing the Emperor? I guess the word-of-mouth that Darth Vader turned good between the time period of Return of the Jedi and Force Awakens did not convince some folks?

I need a time machine - I can't wait for this movie!!

Considering, as I said, that they seem to want to keep Luke's reveal secret until the film comes out - NO.

If you are going into this movie thinking Luke is gonna have the same screen time as the other actors, you're in for a major disappointment.

Maybe Luke went to the Dark Side.

I hope not. His appearance on screen is going to be amazing.

No because he's kept as a surprise. And there will be another poster later too. You think they didn't think of making money from selling posters? Guess what Star Wars consumers are going to do - they will buy the first poster sans Luke and then they'll buy the second poster featuring Luke. Do you think it's odd for Disney to want to make more money?

I'm pretty sure that's Han's jacket on the left, and Chewie on the right.

Guess I'm glad I live in the UK. I managed to get the best seats for the midnight showing at my local IMAX yesterday morning about 10 no bother. Maybe because not many people want to go at midnight....

Trailer is amazing! 2 months to go, almost there!
