Me also. No matter how awesome TFA is.... is will still be just as awesome a week, or even a month later. School will be out in December, so families will have many oppourtunities to take the kids, not just weekends or nights.

I will see it in 2D first, and if it really blows me away, then I will spring for the IMAX treatment. I still think 3D is gimmicky... it was for Thor. But for those that love it, go for it !!

I haven't gone to theater in ages, but I'm interested in seeing the Tom Hanks and the Steve Jobs pics at the theater also --- and then there's that Bond film...

Considering the fact that IMAX earlier this year, said it wasn't going to get 15/70 release period, and that Interstellar was going to be the final one anywhere, even a small handful of theatres is a gift.
Having said that if you are in one of the new locations that has finally upgraded to Laser you are in for a real treat as well.

Unfortunately though, looks like I will have to wait till Sunday the 20th to see the film due to my and my girlfriends work schedules. Plan to see it at the TLC Chinese theater in Hollywood on their nice IMAX 3-D screen.

Ordering tickets was a bit of a nightmare but I managed to get them for IMAX @ midnight on the 17th. The trailer looks epic as well, this is definitely going to be an experience.

It wasnt until the fans complained and then Peter really pushed himself to get his mobility back, that Lucasfilm changed course. But probably realizing they would be running into the same thing in 8 and 9, they decide to give chewie a heroic death instead( ala the expanded universe novels, where even though those books are no longer cannon, its set pecedent for Chewie dying already. (Remember it was a big national news story when that book came out and it was revealed chewie dies in it) The first thing that really sold it for me though was in in the SDCC comic con reel when in that final shot Han and Rey are sitting down in the falcon, in a very somber heavy kind of way

tried getting tickets the moment they were available but no luck :/ i noticed the Seattle Imax is showing the film non stop, so there are 1am and 4am showings, but its not assigned seating, so that kind of sucks :/ guess ill have to settle for 10am on the 18th at the tiny Imax in Vancouver

Somehow in my mind I always thought Chewie will live forever. But Rey has just met Chewie, to have cry like that is a bit exaggerated? Now if it's
