Episode 1 also moved up to Wednesday in the last minute which limits the weekend, in this age of digital projection it is a lot easier to add showings for blockbusters than with 35mm prints so people will find that there are seats available, and despite not being a well-liked movie, nothing since Episode 1 has been as highly attended domestically.

I already like BB-8. I think Rey will become a favorite, Finn too. I like the bit at the end of the final trailer where he has this "oh crap" look on his face. I don't need every hero to be a major B.A.M.F.

Part of why Indiana Jones is so great is because he gets tired, he gets whooped, he reacts... he's human. I like that Finn doesn't seem to be this "I'm not afraid of anyone" character - he looks scared when Kylo Ren comes at him. It also makes you root for them more because the hero is visibly worried, so you get worried too. You don't go into it thinking, "he'll take this guy out without breaking a sweat."

Captain Phasma for me too, I hope she'll be as cool as she has the potential to be with that armor and being played by that actress.

BB-8 also looks like he could be a fun character. R2 is one of my favorites in the previous films and I hope BB-8 can be as likable.

I'm old enough to have seen the originals in theatres and let me tell you that it was a lot more fun when we knew very little about these movies (or any movie for that matter).

People who had seen films were also pretty good about not revealing plot details to others who had not yet seen the movie.

And marketing was a lot different. No one publicized a movie six months in advance like they do today. And there was little to no TV advertising.

It was a lot of fun being surprised. That rarely happens today.

No real story to it, it jumps from one scene to another, this happens then this happens, no story arc.

And this is all based on a 2 minute trailer of a 2 hour 16 minute movie?

So tell me what happens in between all those scenes?

Looks like Ren loses his mask in this fight.

I wonder if Lando Calrissian, a major character from V and VI, is the lost father of Finn? In an EW interview with Abrams, he suggested he can't reveal Finn's last name intentionally. I hope Lando returns, he's a great character.

Along with Yoda and Kenobi in spirit form.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is obliterating all the movie pre-sale records

As a point of comparison, the record was set back in 2012 when tickets for the first Hunger Games went on sale. That movie went on to rake in over $152.5 million in its domestic opening weekend, but with many Force Awakens screenings already sold out throughout the weekend (and more showtimes being added) that number starts looking pretty small. The number that Disney no doubt wants to beat is the $208.8 million that Jurassic World raked in during its opening weekend this year, and judging from the early interest, that record looks like it's easily in sight.

I'm not a big fan of Ren's mask. So the more screen time he has without it the happier I am. I think he looks evil enough without it.

What if Finn is Leia and Lando's love child?? LOL I could see Lando saying "I'm that baby's pappy!"

Anything's possible, though it's unlikely since Leia was in love with Han.

Ren's mask took a few minutes to grasp the style of, but I like it now and the rounded shades for his eyes remind me of the Biker Scouts helmet, which is pretty cool.

I'm not a fan of that idea. Not that I'd have anything against Lando being a father, but it'd feel so contrived for them to be like "hey, the main black guy in this trilogy is the son of the main black guy in the last one!". Also, no way can I see Lando's son enlist as a Stormtrooper.

I'd love to see Yoda and Obi-Wan again though.

You're talking about the synopsis I posted? That was a quote from my post on June 3rd, 2015, way back before this new trailer. It's a compilation of bits and pieces gathered from supposedly leaked scenes by insiders. So of course there's no real flow to the story, it wasn't extracted from the whole script. Not everything from the script was leaked. The person tried his best to put them all together,
