I wonder if Lando Calrissian, a major character from V and VI, is the lost father of Finn? In an EW interview with Abrams, he suggested he can't reveal Finn's last name intentionally. I hope Lando returns, he's a great character.

Along with Yoda and Kenobi in spirit form.

I thought his last name was 2187.

If FInn is related to anyone I hope he is Mace Windu's grandson or something.
That would be kinda cool as Windu was one of the best things about the PT

I imagine Episode IX will be shot on film, probably 35MM anamorphic. Colin Trevorrow shot Jurassic World on film, and certain sequences were shot using 65MM cameras (not IMAX).

Can we all please acknowledge that it's very obvious that Finn isn't related to Windu OR lando? Seriously, we don't need 2/3 black guys in the galaxy to be releated.

Mace like the rest of the Jedi (other than Anakin) did not have any kids. I don't think JJ would make Finn related to Lando as it would just cheese it up like Lucas would, but I couldn't help but laugh at it.

The Jedi are NOT celibate. They can have children. They just aren't allowed to get married because attachment is forbidden.

most likely because he does NOT have a last name. He was raised as a storm trooper (his number is FN-xxxx) and Finn is just the name he gave himself (like the clones give themselves name like "Rex" or "Fives"
