I think Zam Wessel may have had similar screen time to Boba Fett.

Padme, like Anakin, suffering fear of loss, allows this fear and the influence of Palpatine into her brainpan, and under this duress, she deposes Valorum. In a way, she is the first SW female villain.

Love the inference from Lucas: "Why did you change my story treatment?!?"

I like Asajj Ventress, she doesn't appear in the live action movies though and obviously that's what we're talking about here.

You know, maybe. But even so, Boba appears later on and plays a more important part in Empire than Zam did in Clones, and his minutes are distributed differently across a wider stretch of the film which makes a difference. His role in the saga also kept expanding and he now appears in four of the six movies so far, with his own spin-off and a possible appearance in Rogue One on the way according to rumors.

Was she really a girl anyway? The shape-shifting was so tacked on that it felt like Lucas felt forced to make her a creature to not kill on girl on screen.

Which is funny, considering that the whole movie starts with Sadme dying in an explosion.

I love how this video is mostly people giving JJ crap for ruining Lost, and then JJ deflecting blame onto others, lol.

He also said that he's glad they didn't kill off his character like he originally wanted. So hopefully he lives through EP7.

Why is it that there HAS to be a female villain? I'm all for gender equality, but sometimes it feels so annoying, like if men would start to complain about Charlie's Angels being an all girl trio and no men are no it. It's just ridiculous. Star Wars has strong lead female characters in all 6 films and it should not be a target of sexism.

PS: No one really knows how big Phasma character actually is. I'm guessing she's like a glorified Boba Fett.

I'm thinking Mr. Ford had a few spirits to lighten his mood for that clip.

Sure there are things like Charlie's Angels, and that's all well and good, but that's the exception that proves the rule. There's nothing wrong with a male-dominated cast or a female-dominated cast in and of itself, it's the fact that writing and casting characters as male is the standard in cinema I take issue with. I'm sure you've noticed that in major films like this, 9 times out of 10 you have one woman for like, every nine men.

Star Wars is no exception, both previous trilogies featuring one major female character each with pretty much everyone else of importance being male. So when these new films seem to be making an effort to be more inclusive, that makes me happy. It's not about disliking men (I really don't) or wanting to see them entirely replaced with women (again, I don't), I just want to see more more female representation in films is all, and I think it's great that one of my favorite franchises is leading the way and being progressive.

I should add that, while they're few and far between, I don't think there's much to complain about when it comes to the depiction of women in Star Wars. Leia is a wonderful character, one of my favorites.
