That's exactly what went through my head, those are very Giacchino-like and for a split-second I thought he was scoring this, then sense took hold and I remembered that Jazzy Johnny was doing the honours.

Now this has got me wondering what kind of punny titles he'd come up with if he actually did score a Star Wars film. It's definitely not impossible he'll land one of the spin-offs or even VIII or IX if Williams feels he can't go on by that point (which hopefully won't happen).

Just looks out of place compared to the others IMO. Looks to much like a render for Battlefront. Especially when compared to most of the shots we've seen with first order stormtroopers - though we don't have a ton of photos of them with the CGI effects added in.

That wasn't my thinking at all.

I was marking out at the prospect of Kylo Ren vs. Finn AND Rey, now that Rey is pretty much confirmed to be involved to be in that same battle in the woods that we've seen in the trailers between Kylo and Finn.

Besides, Luke can't use miracle growth over 30 years to be Adam Driver's height.

The troopers look real enough, it's just the added in laser blasts as you say.

Apart from that dude's arm falling off in Episode IV, Luke gets bashed around a bit in Empire ... on Hoth and during his fight with Vader, there aren't really any punch-ups I can think of, so there wouldn't be much need for injury detail with blasters and lightsabers. It looks like Poe's injury is from interrogation or he picked it up when he was captured (maybe they brought his ship down?).

lol, of course not. You're saying that a slighly darker leg is the same thing as a completely red arm? No way... why did they do that? It looks just wrong to me.

Edit: and I guess it makes sense as you say, maybe he lost an arm and that was the only one he found, but it just looks so wrong to me...

When Dooku injures Obi Wan in Episode II, you can see some blood on his arm and leg, too.
When Obi Wan cuts Maul in half, you don't directly see blood, but a little bit of red ''rain'' can be seen.

Okay, seeing Finn with Poe's gotten me thinking...

[Show spoiler]that's gotta be from the opening of the movie, seeing as Finn's got his Trooper armour on. Kylo torturing Poe must be from the beginning then, not the end as I thought. Perhaps the point of the stormtroopers torching that village is to find some rebel scum (Poe), and it's after that operation that Finn then starts to feel queasy about his job. Finn then frees Poe and escapes in a TIE Fighter, crashing on Jakku (which I presume is where the raid above takes place).

With Poe out for the count Finn needs to find help, but he can't go wandering around in his armour so he takes Poe's jacket, and after that is when he crosses paths with Rey (whose introduction to the audience as a scavenger dreaming of a better life is probably cross-cut with the events above). Rey helps them escape from the advancing Imperials and that's when Poe sends a signal to the rebels, bringing Solo and Chewie to the rescue. Where the Falcon fits in I don't know, seeing as it's rumoured to be Poe's now?
