Yeah. I guess that's the difference between wording it as "internet activity" and "website activity." The former is general. The latter is specific, to me.

If he'd said "activity on my website" then that's specific. But whenever you're on the internet in general you're visiting a website, no?

Boy, it's gonna be a long few weeks until this movie comes out, there's nothing left to argue about except semantics in people's posts.

Oh hell yes I will see this on the big screen! I've seen the previous six, theatrically, and won't stop now!

I can see where you would have gathered that, based on my phrasing. And you're right, there won't be a critic in sight, nor anyone who runs their own website present at this screening.

This is correct. My contract requires that I divulge all internet forums/discussion groups that I am actively a part of. They "supposedly" have people who monitor them, but I believe it. I guess I've been proven to be trustworthy. Haven't broken confidence once in 13 years, since the beginning workings of Spiderman 2.

Well, if....ya know...you were ever gonna "break trust", now would be the time to do it!

Kidding of course!

Hahahah...
I've been trying to completely avoid this thread recently because I want no spoilers. I haven't watched any of the new footage that's come out for the last couple of weeks or anything. It got to be too much and I don't want any of you lot spoiling it

In other news, though, I went and picked up my tickets for the 7:30 showing on the 17th. I *WAS* going to see it in Times Square at the AMC 25, which stands for 25 theaters. Once I picked up my tickets...I went to search out that particular theater to see which one it was. I kept looking...and looking...and looking...and then I found it. #11 is all the way in the back...and looks like this.

I was shocked and appalled. That picture was taken from the very front row, next to the screen, which, as you can imagine, is pretty minuscule. I had family and friends coming in from Connecticut because I wanted all of us to have a great experience in a huge theater. THIS was not that experience. I'm trying to get rid of the tickets now...but I might just get my money back from AMC. This is a joke. That theater fits probably about 100 people and it's an embarrassment to have them come on a train to come to NYC for...this. I got tickets for an RPX stadium seating theater in CT at 7pm. I'd rather it be a huge theater in CT than a small $hit theater in NYC

These talks of early screenings are intriguing and strange; I'm in the industry, and haven't heard one word about any "sneak peaks" -- which are quite common this time of year. (For example, I got to see "Return of the King" two weeks early back in 2003, thanks to special screenings for Local 600.) My wife has a lawyer friend on Facebook -- someone she does NOT know personally -- who says he just saw a special screening of FORCE AWAKENS this weekend. His opinion: "Meh". Why would HE be able to see the flick… and why would a lawyer be so stupid as to disobey a strong NDA? It's all very puzzling.

That's the problem with multiplexes past a certain size: they more screens they have, the smaller many of the auditoriums are.

You chose a theater with 25 screening rooms in a single building. What did you expect? Try the Ziegfeld or the Loews Lincoln Square.

come to my local cinema, and experience the finest in small cinemas. the smallest screen is 7 to 8 feet, and has "home cinema speaker" sound system.

The smaller screens were set up when one of the owners fell out in disagreement with the others. he didn't want them, the others did.

it does have a 50 footer all the latest tech, however haha.

Ever been to the AMC 25? A LOT of the theaters are massive. It's in the middle of Times Square and is, I believe, 6 stories. It's not a regular movie theater.

When I spoke with the manager, she said that, for the first week, 22 of the 25 screens are showing Star Wars. That only leaves 3 screens for others. And, of course, some of the theaters in these multiplexes are going to be smaller because that's where they put the indie flicks. It just so happens that mine ended up being in one of the smaller ones. I probably had the chips stacked against me because I was going to a 2D screening instead of 3D.

Of course, I wanted to go to the Ziegfeld but they didn't have the tickets on sale at the time. I'm not even sure when they went on sale. That's where I had seen all the others at midnight. Oh well...

Pretty sweet. What's with the "Space Opera" addition to the titles on the YouTube vids?

I'm guessing descriptive filler so the videos pop up in unrelated searches.

Edit: Yup, that's what it is: something exclusive to Comic Book Resource's channel. All their Star Wars videos end with "(2015) Epic Space Opera Movie HD."
