Top Gun: Maverick was like watching a hybrid of Top Gun and Mission Impossible, which happens to be a great formula especially when they do the practical effects for real.

it's an honest observation, hearing you people going on ranting and debating about the motivation behind goose's son following in his father's footsteps.
it's not that deep, and kinda sad you waste your time typing up an 'essay' behind goose's motivation.

That post was a generalization on how things are with people's fav, not just towards Top Gun.

You're easily triggered and managed to do that all on your own.
The only fault I'll admit to is not going through the trouble of fully explaining when I do criticize something. I like to keep things vague and short, sprinkled with some humor. And that tends to confuse people.

My regulars tend to go into a toxic defensive mode with the insults and because of that, I return it in kind. You're full of it, because you're guilty of it as well. Don't play innocent, you hypocrite.

Not long ago, blubonnet was calling me a troll, now everyone is suggesting the same to him. Funny how that works.
I dont think any of you even know the meaning and coining of the term anymore, and just throw it around when you cant get a read on people.
I don't like typing up lengthy replies like this, its exhausting, you're ignorant existence is exhausting.
Getting a reply from me must be the highlight of your day, troll.
It’s everyone else’s fault, not yours. You are just misunderstood.

Yeah, I can’t wait to get a reply from yourself. After a hard days work, I’m quivering with joy at the prospect of reading your Witty, on the mark observations. Even more so when you hide them behind spoilers, it’s like Christmas Eve all over again.

Oh, and thanks for the ‘sprinkling of humour, it’s the Brandy sauce on top of the Christmas pudding.

It's weird. I totally respect McQ's technical craftsmanship but I kinda feel cold towards his MI films. I find myself rewatching the first four films more often even though they are each flawed in their own ways.

Seek professional psychiatric help, lest ye be triggered.

I love me some Rogue Nation but Fallout felt curiously hollow, like the whole "let's dream up some action sequences and write our way around them" thing finally caught up with them. Haven't seen Fallout again since that first viewing mind you, so I may feel more favourable towards it a few years later.

Rogue Nation's story was definitely the stronger of those two films IMO, agreed. I liked Fallout but not as much.

But in an interview with EW, Loggins, 74, revealed that his song reboot ended up on the cutting room floor. “I did re-record ‘Danger Zone’ to make a 5.0 version that would wrap around the audience

I'm curious on hearing this mix of the song even though Kenny Loggins forgot to include the LFE channel

This thing has freakin' legs man! I never would have expected such short dropoffs against Jurassic World and Lightyear but here we are. Even local showing today, just looking at them, some auditoriums are at least half full? It's just 115 mill away from the billion. Will it make it? I hope it does.

Don't give them what they want. Otherwise they'll keep coming back to spam more garbage and nonsense.

I do really like Rogue Nation and Fallout but for me Ghost Protocol is still the high point of the M:I series, even if the 3rd act is a bit tamer than the first 2 acts.

It was always rogue nation for me. Although that maybe related to Rebecca Ferguson!

I do enjoy them all though. I own every one and they all entertain me.

Simply put after seeing this twice theatrically, I think this is the most purely entertaining Cruise vehicle pardon the pun since Edge Of Tomorrow 8 years ago. The modern legacy sequel to beat in my book.

I knew this film would do well but it went way past my box office estimate.

This may sound obvious to say but I think it's because of the quality. I haven't heard anyone that I know say the new Jurassic World is good, but there are a large number of people that will see it no matter what. TGM had a fewer amount of people that would see it no matter what (mostly probably 40+ year olds with a fondness for the first) but its quality has allowed strong reviews, great word of mouth, and repeat viewers to lift this higher than was previously thought imaginable.

Funny what making a strong, quality movie can do!

Sucks i didn't relaize that imax theaters literally show these movies only for two weeks before moving onto the next big title in the release line.

Was wanting to see this movie in imax but looks like it is only showing in digital now around me, oh well i will wait until it is released on cable i guess.
