The video and audio will remain the same as the initial release, yes?

Maybe the encode will be better now since ( i assume) it will be in a BD-50 disc and not in a BD-25 as before.

This is exciting stuff if the picture quality and sound of the Blu-ray match up!

My best guess is it will have the same transfer, possibly even the same bitrate. The second layer will be for those features and new audio tracks.

This new Fright Night release will be a miss if the picture quality is the same as before; the German blu-ray has markedly better image quality than the original Twilight Time issue.

I believe my previous purchases (single movie) have always cost $34. Set aside $36 and you'l be fine.

I have both the Twilight Time and German versions of Fright Night, and I’d watched the TT disc several times over the last couple of years. When I acquired the German release, I viewed it and found that its image superiority was immediately apparent on a 32” screen, showing a lower noise level and generally looking less like video and more like film. Even more obvious than the screen caps would imply.

I missed the first issue and was only thinking the other day about finding a used copy. About $150 is my limit for a piece of plastic but I have seen amazon sellers asking $500+ for some rare dvd/BD’s. I can't imagine anyone ever paying those prices. Its just dumb.

Anyway is this the place where it will have to be ordered from http://www.screenarchives.com/ or will it be on amazon? Will Paypal be accepted? I have never bought a TT disc or ordered from Screenarchives.

You can check at SAE by placing a TT bluray in your cart and see how much it is combined with shipping for your country.
This is what I always do.

What would cause the difference? They're both from Sony and the German version is on a 25 bd, right? In that case, it would simply be a better encode?

I only have the German bd, but I'm tempted to get this next TT release due to the extras. ahhh, must.... resist....
