Journey in March, Christine in October at the earliest. TT won't be re-releasing Mysterious Island. There's still one more re-release to be confirmed. Could be The Big Heat.

I hope FRIGHT NIGHT has the original Dolby Surround mix - I have the German release, and although the image quality is good the 5.1 has little of the front to rear separation the original 2.0 Laser or DVD had.
I hate when they bump up the mix something is lost- it happens often.

Why not? Did they actually say they weren't going to reissue it? IMO this one needs a reissue more than the others (except perhaps Journey because that's a 4K remaster). Since unlike the others, it hasn't been released anywhere outside the US (unless you count the BD-R bootleg from Spain) and is never under $125 on ebay, so there should be quite a bit of pent up demand. The other reissues you can get for half the price region free from other countries.

Yes, I asked them via FB, and they said they wont be re-releasing it. I'll see if I can track down the exact wording, but they made it sound like someone else might release it instead.

That could also mean it may not be coming until 2016. As they are only re-releasing four titles a year. Depends how you read it I guess.

True, it just seemed like an odd way to phrase it. I really was banking on it being one of the 4 being re-released next year. I think it would have sold pretty well, better than most of the other possible choices too from the looks of it..

I agree. I assumed it was a gimme, and definitely would have grabbed it! Big Heat already has some other region releases and the copies on eBay aren't as sought after. They only sell for around $60, where as Mysterious Island is usually in the $120 range.

If you pay by a CC then they do a pre-auth on your card which usually drops off within 5 days. Then they process the charge once they ship your order.(which can be up to a week leading up to or after release date - depending on when they get stock. If you pay thru PayPal then that is paid upfront.

Any changes in PQ would likely boil down to encoding/compression changes. It's the same 4K scan being used. Differences if any should be negligible.

Time is irrelevant. TT has the current master, it's not like they're getting any newer scan or newly restored/remastered work from Sony, nor will TT tweak anything themselves. The differences, if any, will boil down to things like encoding, and compression like I said above.
