I don't like paying high prices for bus either, but when it's only occasionally, I can live with it. I'm that type of guy (no, not LL Cool J) who waits to buy until films are around $5, but if it's something that I really want and I know it'll never get that low, I'll gladly buy it for a higher price (but not scalper prices). I gladly paid $50 for Nightbreed, and I'll gladly pay $30 for Fright Night.

Now that song is stuck in my head. Oh wee oh, OOOOOOOH.

Not at all.
I get that people don't like TT's business model. But when you look at it from a few different perspectives, you can see that they are actually a good thing, and not bad. Are we just spoiled with Amazon prices(as an example)? Maybe. Paying ~$20 for the typical new release, then almost doubling that can be jarring for some, BUT...it beats not having that option at all.

Hm, I'm really tempted to buy this actually… I'm not sure if i should take the plunge. How quick does the pre-order usually sell out?

I think some people are but my complaints were never really about price. I would be the last to complain considering I dropped the money down for both steelbooks of Demons 1 & 2 from Synapse. I have no problem paying $30-$40(including tax at least) for a movie that is limited. Demons was actually about $45.

There is a certain buzz when there is a title that everyone seems to be excited about, and you want to be part of that excitement, I know I'm excited.

Do you have Netflix, primarily the mail in service? If so, I would say preorder the movie tomorrow but get it from Netflix to see if you like it. If you don't, just cancel the preorder.

It will probably take a few days, but really no one knows for sure.

Do they charge when it ships or when you order?

If you pay using PayPal they charge right away, if you use a credit card, they put a hold on funds for a few days then charge it when they ship.

And don't forget people they also still take money orders. Sounds silly in this day and age but if you want to get through the check out process fast and maybe you need an extra couple days to get the cash together.....I mean it doesn't ship until January 20th anyway.

That's the problem. These releases aren't limited. The first FRIGHT NIGHT was released what, 3 years ago? We've recently had several releases from other countries and now we have this new release from TT. Why didn't they do a SE the first time around? I remember when the first release came out and how folks were saying it could be forever before the film is released again so you better buy it now. There were plenty of suckers who paid hundreds for that first disc. Bottom line is something is only limited until a better version comes along. I'll wait for the 4k release

I'm excited too. But only because I've loved this movie for close to thirty years.

I just panicked because I set a reminder on my phone...first alert a day before, second alert an hour before...I saw the "day before" reminder today at 4:10 and freaked out until I realized I still had a day
