Had to be just recently (past half hour). They stated it would be limited to 1 copy per customer when only 1500 copies were left.

Definitely the fastest selling release to date. Likely about 3000+ sold in less than 5 hours. They'd probably have sold out completely by morning if they didn't limit it to 1

I guess that explains the slow down. It might sell out quicker than we think, I thought for sure it would mirror what happen with The Blob.

5000-1500=3500

And some members were actually laughing at the people trying to get a copy as quick as they could.

Glad I got my order in for this since it is selling so fast; this and the remainder of my order puts me at 85 TT BDs owned.

IMO, if there were no limits, it would have sold out faster. not only could scalpers control the market by buying out as much of the inventory as they could (at no risk, as it'd be guaranteed a decent profit), but that would entice regular people to buy more copies for flipping to cover their expenses, and more people would be on it as soon as they could.

this still will sell out rather quickly, i'd bet within 24 more hours. i wonder out of 5000 copies, how many are going to people to replace the existing version.

The corporate practice of down sizing / layoffs is more common place then you think. My employer didn't renew my contract in December, effectively putting me out of work for the holidays. Companies have no shame whatsoever anymore. However, I still treated myself to a copy of Fright Night nevertheless.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, I appreciate it much! The building that I work (oops, worked) at has been for sell for awhile now, and wouldn't you know it, sold a few weeks before Christmas. This is my last week, and it's been a scary feeling, let me tell ya. I'm sure things will work out, but I've gotta maintain a positive attitude either way. As far as the FN BD, it looks as though I'm gonna have to pass. I really did have it on my Wish list, but it is what it is. For those of that Do get it, congrats, it's a great movie! Again, thanks, and I apologize in advance, if I seemed a bit on edge. Happy New Years to all of you, you're great people!
