Figure this is a good place to get some feedback. My Xrite i1 pro has drifted significantly and is no longer useful. I’m debating another Xrite but the price has jumped to $330 CDN. Or should I spend the extra few hundred and get the C6. I know they are identical, aside from the C6 being calibrated. I spoke with CalMAN and it seems my Basic license is useless now and I am not able to upgrade, I will have to buy a new license completely.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

That cheap? I just bought an i1pro2 for US$950. How did you get it for C$330? How long ago did you get the i1pro?

My first meter was bundled with CalMAN basic. Bought it in 2014. Amazon.ca has the i1pro for $330 now, it was $230 6 months ago.

I think he means the i1 Display Pro, not the i1pro. The reference to the C6 should be a clue, which is Spectracal's tuned version of the i1D3 (as it used to be known

Their product names are confusing.

The i1 Pro 2 box is as big as box of Costco Wheaties. The i1 Display Pro box is like a box of Girl Scout cookies. But from the thumbnails online the boxes look the same. The i1 Pro 2 works with BabelColor CT&A. Decent accuracy for the price.

I was never a fan of the Wow disc. I never understood that it recommends clipping above reference white. 2nd benchmark has been my go to for my last 7 displays.

Same here. DVE got me started back in the laserdisc days which then carried over onto DVD then BD (though the BD is something of a disappointment), then I bought S&M 2nd Ed in 2013 when I got my first 4K TV and never looked back. Every time I got a new player (and I has had a few!!) the first thing that went in was S&M 2nd Ed, and that held true for my 4K players as well.

There was on the 2nd Ed, dunno about the UHD.

I’ve been using the Wow disc since. I don’t want to carry two discs around. Hope it’s in the UHD
