New print? What? Both Criterion and BFI used exactly the same transfer, Criterion did some additional tweaking, etc. I think the general consensus is that BFI's colour timing is more correct.

Huh...This slipped under my radar (overlooked the post on Criterion Forum too). I have been looking for this to be reissued, as I missed out on it the first time around. Amazon UK still doesnt seem to have the new dual format reissue listed.

Wondered why they looked so different in some screencaps, BFI ordered.

They seem to be on every website except Amazon which is strange.

got my copy of More yesterday!
can't wait to check it out.
I need Bill Douglas Trilogy to be re-issued. That's one of the main bfi bds I am missing. I have most of the other ones at this point.

It is apparently, according to another forum. I noticed a guy selling the Bill Douglas Trilogy on ebay if it's any help to you.

Is More out of print already? It's only available now from third party sellers on Amazon.

I highly doubt it just stock issues.

HMV have it

Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner dual format turned up today such a great movie.

Do you think there's any likelihood of BFI releasing a Blu-ray edition of Pasolini's 'Teorema'? They released it on DVD a few years ago in a beautiful edition, and it would look absolutely stunning on Blu.

Picked up both Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and Saturday night Sunday Morning from the BFI Southbank today - definitely dual format reissues so avoid overpriced amazon sellers! Not seen either of these, but I get staff discount so they seemed worth a blind buy!

I see most of these Dual Format releases are on amazon for 11.99.
All the Right Noises is at the bargain price of 6.70

Zavvi cancelled my £15 or so order for the Classic Kurosawa boxset mistake :

Thank you for ordering with us at zavvi, order number 17209345.

I am sorry to advise that we had a limited amount of stock available of Kurosawa Classic Colleciton at the promotional price which has since sold out.

We can confirm that payment has not been taken and you are free to re-order at the current price should you wish.

Don't want to rub salt in, but I ordered the two new Kurosawa sets from MovieMail and Play. Unsurprisingly MovieMail cancelled straight after, but shockingly Play dispatched the Classic Collection on Saturday, and the Crime Collection today, at £13.99 each. Probably the best offer I've ever got on a pre-order, that's actually dispatched.

Re. Seven Samuai BD BFI wrote me back on twitter. "“@BFI: Hi Kristoffer, there are no immediate plans for a Blu-ray release”

I hope they change their minds and give it a blu-ray too, they have given way lesser works HD treatment.

I was saying on another forum that I should be really happy that it's finally being released at all but I'm feeling greedy, especially for such an important, controversial film and I'm pretty sure the demand would be high enough if the materials are up to par.

I'll still buy the DVD if it's the only option.

Given the BFI's enthusiasm for BD releases, I doubt the decision was in their hands.

Our thread about the release is here:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/dvd-movies...oming-bfi.html

And if you read the info linked within it from Michael, you will see that BFI had to beg, borrow and steal just to get WB to let them put a DVD of the 1971 UK version out. There is little to no chance of a BD.
