The Ozu films come in transparant cases. Same goes for the two Jacques Tati films.

I just realized when I got The Bed Sitting Room in the mail that the Flipside releases have spine numbers. Bad news for my wallet.

Ordered Early Summer and Tokyo Story last night. Already own Late Spring.

The Hut Group stores have started offering very good prices for titles I'm interested, free international shipping and discount coupons as well. Fantastic.

It's a shame that I already own all of the current BFI Ozus.

But I'm glad that these titles have come down in price for the rest of you.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but does anyone have any idea whether Twin Town will be released on Blu-Ray? How do you petition or request that films be put onto Blu-Ray? because I would like to see Peter Jackson's film Braindead on blu-ray too.

Late Spring, Early Summer and Tokyo Story are now £8.85 at thehut.com.

If you hurry you can use TENLD coupon to get 10% off, which makes it less than 8 pounds per film. Fantastic deal!

Hey...I just noticed that "An Autumn Afternoon" dropped in price on Amazon UK. I haven't seen a change in my preorder price.

Does Amazon UK have the same policy as the US Amazon with adjusting your preorder to the cheapest price, or do I have to cancel my existing preorder and reorder it at the current lower price?

From my experience they adjust the price as well, but I'm not sure how long it takes.

I believe it does have the pre-order guarantee to offer it at the lowest price after you make the pre order, but it might not come off until they charge your card, which won't be until they dispatch the item.

Ouch, my wallet is empty because of the BFI offers in Base.com and The Hut. Now I own almost all his BD until Loving memory!

(Pleased to support their work in this day and age of governments that cut their investments in culture).

I hear you man, I've gone way over my Blu-ray budget this month because of the BFI offers. My wallet is empty but my spirit is pleased!

Just found out that the BFI will be releasing a BD/DVD combi of Jerzy Skolimowski's 1970 classic Deep End in July. Brilliant news!

Quite a few older BFI main line titles and Flipside titles are available on Amazon UK right now for £5.99.

Do not pass up on "Nighthawks / Strip Jack Naked" or the "Bill Douglas Trilogy" at those prices.

One of my favourites. I remember seeing this three times at the Academy Cinema in Oxford Street on its first run in the UK. Those were the days!

Delighted to hear it's coming out on Blu-ray.

Lucky you I've only seen it once, about 30 years ago on BBC, but I never forgot it.

Received Early Summer from Zavvi today. Tokyo Story should arrive later this week as it was dispatched three days later.
