I will get The Orchard End Murders sooner or later but I'm not paying £15 for a 50 minute film, nor getting it in a 2 for £25.

That's the main problem with these compare reviews: very in-depth, and they should do spoiler tags like we can do on here.

Has anyone's Peppermint Soda shipped yet? I ordered four new releases from hmv for tomorrow, and this is the only one that still hasn't gone out yet.

I'd never heard of Abel Gance before BFI's excellent Napoleon release, and so it's a shame they couldn't have got the 1919 silent version.

Lobster Films released that on Blu in France, though I don't know if it's English-language friendly: many of their releases are, but not all of them. It's on DVD from Flicker Alley in the US.

Mine just shipped, thankfully only a stock delay rather than a delayed release date.

I went into HMV to pick up THE ORCHARD END MURDERS, but they hadn't got it in yet. So I ended up leaving with A ZED AND TWO NOUGHTS, LOVE IS THE DEVIL, WOMEN IN LOVE, CRY OF THE CITY and STREETS OF FIRE.

OK, the last one isn't BFI, but I had to make up the 5 for £30 and already have all the flipsides and the other BFI offer titles I wanted.

All still with booklets, great transfers, can't go wrong at these prices.

Watched Peppermint Soda this evening and absolutely loved it. The PQ is excellent too.

I recently finished 2 weeks worth of work experience at the BFI, I asked if I could get any free Blu-Rays from the gift shop. They gave me a BBFC pen and kicked me out.

It was worth a shot

I've worked for them on a freelance basis in the past, and a number of friends work there full time in various capacities. I'd love to go to work there everyday, even if it meant living in London!

Great! It's been delayed for, like... a year or more now, right? One of my favourites. I wonder if it's time to flog the Criterion and upgrade...
