And high time this site amended its listing's running time, from 101 to 201 minutes....

I'm not being funny here or anything, but why don't you do it yourself? Anyone can go in and edit the specs for both films and releases.

For exactly the same reason I don't go anywhere near Wikipedia in an editorial capacity even though I'm a published expert in a certain (not film) area of the performing arts, and see nothing but errors on the site and have been asked to correct them: because I don't know how, and the one time I tried it was an absolute catastrophe, with entire pages re-ordered and realigned accidentally which I couldn't even undo. Not a technical person, I'm afraid. It took me four years on here before I even worked out what the forums were and how to access them.....

Then good for "rapta", to whom I take my hat off.

To you, I put it back on again.

I apologize if it looked harse but you said it in such a way that's it's hard not to raise an eyebrow.
Especially since it's very easy to correct this kind of thing in blu-ray.com pages : you go on the page, you click on Edit movie, you change the runtime, click Submit and done !
It would have been something complicated, I would certainly have had a different reaction, though.

Also, don't forget that every change is reviewed by a mod before being issued!

My copy of the Clarke box set ordered from bfi arrived yesterday, so not quite a week in transit (from uk to usa). The shipping box was pretty well dented up. But the worst dents in that shipping box didn't necessarily correspond to the dents on the box set's outer box (confined to three of its corners), so hard to tell if they were already there beforehand. The box set came wrapped in bubble wrap, and styrofoam peanuts had been used as filler at the sides; adequate but not really enough for my sometimes near worst case scenario shipping circumstances.

Dents aside, more suspicious was the box set's cellophane outer wrapper, which seemed to be scotch-taped in place (I noticed 2 or 3 pieces of tape while unwrapping it)... I suspect maybe I got a re-wrap of somebody's return. The dents are there, but they're not really all that bad. The booklet is dented some too. And the last disc, which is a dvd, is smudged/scuffed up some on its play side. Not a 100% satisfying experience, but as you're well aware, it could have been worse.

I'll give those dents another look tonight, but otherwise now I just need to find time to tackle its contents (and maybe try to at least get that dvd replaced, perhaps the booklet)...

i received my fourth delivery attempt a few days ago. despite the assurances from the amazon customer service rep that they would contact the shipping department to ensure proper packing, it arrived just as the others before it: in an over-sized box with a balled up piece of paper to prevent the contents from shifting. despite the lackluster packing job, this one arrived relatively unscathed. i've yet to remove the shrink-wrap, but so far the only noticeable damage is a slight ding to one of the corners.

very strange about the scotch-tape job.. definitely sounds like you've received a returned/refurbished set. i'm a bit OCD about my blu's so i'd definitely be reaching out them for a replacement DVD if i was in your shoes.

My guess is Cria Cuervos is OOP - just picked it up from BFI store but seems unavailable elsewhere!

Its reputation is based entirely on the film version, so I'd say go with that one first.

New artwork for Celine And Julie. Have the bfi said where the transfer for this is coming from?

Probably just out of stock, awaiting a reprint.

I thought the same thing about Permissive, which was unavailable everywhere for many months, but that one has come back into stock recently.

If you’re anywhere near a Fopp store, you might want to take a look for Joanna in there.

Just left Fopp Covent Garden, I didn't see Joanna, but they do have another sale on, including a load of titles from this year. Picked up Rita, Sue and Bob Too and Letter to Brezhnev for 6 quid each. Same with El Sur. They have the Preminger Box for 20 quid. And I got a free BFI tote.

Seems to be celebrating 20 years of BFI video.
